The auxiliary grant program provides a supplemental grant to low income adults residing in adult care residences/facilities.
An income supplement for individuals who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and certain other aged, blind, or disabled individuals who reside in a licensed assisted living facility or an approved adult foster care home.
Provides supplemental payment to licensed Homes for Adults and Assisted Living Facilities that will accept the state approved rate. Client keeps a small monthly allowance for personal needs, and the rest of their monthly income is applied to the State approved rate. The Auxiliary Grant pays the balance of the approved rate to the provider.
Provides financial support to assist in maintaining a family member with an intellectual disability in the home. This program support is available to children and adults.
Funds companion services, for limited hours each week, to assist SSI recipients (aged, blind, disabled) with personal care or light housekeeping tasks. Seeks to prevent institutionalization.

An AG recipient must reside in a licensed adult home and both financial and non-financial eligibility standards must be met. An AG recipient is automatically eligible for full coverage Medicaid.

The improvement in the quality of life and the low cost of the service are a win/win for individuals and the community.

The Individual and Family Developmental Disabilities Support Waiver (IFDDS), or the DD Waiver, is a Medicaid program that provides home and community-based care services to Medicaid eligible individuals who would otherwise be eligible for placement in an Intermediate Care Facility for the Mentally Retarded (ICF/MR). The goal of the waiver is to allow consumers and their families more consumer-direction over deciding what services they need and who will provide those services.
