Program is for those age 50+ who are seeking employment. It includes intensive training to improve, job-search skills, individual attention, take-home materials, and a mentor. Attendees need to be computer-savvy.

This program provides training for person age 55 and older in new job skills and finding full or part-time employment. Capacity is 17 enrollees at one time. Clients are assigned to non profit agencies for work experience and train 20 hours per week. Training wages are equivalent to the federal minimum wage.

Provides the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), a service and work based training program for older workers. The program was authorized by Congress to provide subsidized, part-time service training for low-income persons age 55 or older who live in the service area and have a right to work in the US. The program also serves veterans and individuals with disabilities. SCSEP works by partnering with community agencies. SCSEP pays a training stipend to the individual while the partner community agency provides the training.

Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP). Provides skills through on-the-job training in such fields as office work, health care, food services and education. Also provides placement in part-time employment.

Funded by a federal grant that provides employment and training to seniors 55 years and older with limited incomes by placing the participants in community services work sites for job training in their service area. The training positions are financially subsidized by the grant by paying the participants minimum wage for twenty hours a week. The training positions include: clerical, homemaker, bus/van drivers, meal delivery drivers and more.

Goodwill Industries of the Valleys operates the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), which is the only federal workforce program targeted to low-income older workers. The program is administered by the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration through grant agreements with the state and eligible organizations such as Goodwill. Through SCSEP, Goodwill provides part-time employment and training in community service positions for individuals age 55 and older. Goodwill Industries of the Valleys is currently serving the older worker population throughout its 31 county, 13 city service area.

Offers a twenty hour per week subsidized training or work experience placement with the goal of locating unsubsidized employment for the older worker. Provides specialized training and classes to upgrade or learn new job skills. Offers counseling and instruction on job search skills, public benefits, etc. Provides assistance with the purchase of items needed to prepare the individual for gainful employment.

Provides short-term work experience for income-eligible persons aged 55 and older. The program helps seniors find permanent employment by upgrading old skills or learning new ones. SCSEP matches skills, background, and interests with job openings at businesses and agencies.

Arranging for a variety of services and resources to assist frail elders in maintaining their well-being and independence. Provides transportation, health promotion and recreation activities, telephone reassurance, congregate meals and a volunteer program.

The Senior Community Service Employment Program is a training program for those 55 years and over, low income and unemployed.

This program helps low income, mature job seekers obtain the skills and work experience needed to find employment. Participants work 18 hours per week in non-profits and government entities to contribute to those agencies while building their skills, self-esteem and references. In addition, they are assisted with job search activities including resume development, preparing for job interviews, and job leads.

Assists older workers seeking re-employment or entering the labor force for the first time through Title V service. Provides free education and training programs, paid work-site training and placement services for income eligible older workers.
