HopeLink Behavioral Health Employment Services provides support and training for clients who want to be competitively employed in the community to help them choose, get and keep jobs.

Provides vocational training, remunerative employment, education services, supported employment, and day support services to persons with disabilities.

The Supported Employment Individual model provides one-on-one services to help individuals with disabilities transition from job preparation to successful employment. Goodwill provides support with job matching and placement, training, and ongoing follow-along services to create mutual confidence between employees and employers. Services include job analysis and task analysis, job placement, public transportation planning and training, hands-on training facilitated by a Vocational Services Employment Specialist in a community business, and monitoring participants' home and work environments to ensure employment retention.

Employee Development and Work Adjustment Training is comprehensive, individualized, and designed to develop or reestablish skills, attitudes, personal characteristics, work behaviors, and functional capacities in order to achieve positive employment outcomes. Services are time-limited and can be provided directly to individuals seeking employment or indirectly through employer/employee support programs. Job services are provided at the job site and can include counseling, intensive job training, and development of work habits, and behaviors appropriate for the work environment. Prior to completion of the program, a review is held utilizing input from the program individual, staff, families, advocates, funders, and other involved agency representatives to determine the potential for competitive employment, additional training, or the transition to other Goodwill programs. Employee Development and Training is offered to individuals living in the counties of Alleghany, Amherst, Appomattox, Bath, Bedford, Bland, Botetourt, Campbell, Carroll, Craig, Floyd, Franklin, Giles, Grayson, Henry, Montgomery, Patrick, Pulaski, Roanoke, Rockbridge, and Wythe, and the cities of Buena Vista, Covington, Galax, Lexington, Lynchburg, Martinsville, Radford, Roanoke, and Salem.

Goodwill’s Group Supported Employment program offers a high level of training, assistance and specialized supervision to individuals who require ongoing supervision but are able to work in an integrated employment setting. A group of participants (maximum of 8) with similar work interests work side-by-side with a Goodwill Employment Specialist, who provides assistance and guidance in completing job-related tasks and setting and achieving long-term goals.

Plans, develops, and implements services for Virginia Beach residents with intellectual disabilities and their families through the provision of consumer centered services designed to provide opportunities to individuals who have intellectual disabilities to become self-directing and contributing members of our community; support families living with family member with intellectual disabilities; provide early intervention when developmental delays are identified in young children; and, promote the value of persons with intellectual disabilities living and working in the community.

Employment Services provides long-term employment, training, and supports for people with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities at our site in Hampton. Employment Services offered through Government Contract work accross the Nation. Employment Services provide adult students with disabilities the opportunity to participate in certification programs, preparing them for life-long careers in high-demand industries resulting in economic independence. Supported Employment helps people with disabilities gain employment with businesses in the community. Day Support provided to people with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities at our site in Hampton. In this program, people with disbilities work on life and social skills, and also volunteer/participate in the community.

Provide a variety of services designed to help adults and young adults with autism develop the skills and confidence they need to reach their full potential. There is a Life Skills and Transitioning services for adolecents and adults transitioning to independent living this program includes a community support program for adults with ASD who are ready to live on their own with a little support and encouragement. Also offer a Career Readiness Program - provides on the job training at all while earning a paycheck. Coaches assist students in building a resume, applying, and interviewing for jobs.
