STOP'S Workforce Development Program provides opportunities for participants to engage in in-demand training and certification that is relevant and accessible. This program was designed with the goal of earning a living wage for low-income households and individuals. All course content prepares participants to earn a leading national certification. This includes prep sessions and assistance with scheduling the exam for certification. Upon certification, participants will be assisted with securing gainful employment.
Employment Supportive Services offers personal training in acquiring techniques necessary for seeking and maintaining a job. Services include interview techniques, job retention, employment counseling, referral and/or placement application completion, resume writing, and job readiness training. All participants in the program must be willing to pursue the necessary educational opportunities to enhance their employment skills. In addition, STOP provides bus tickets to participants of this program in an effort to assist participants in obtaining and retaining employment.
