On site EKGs. Family Planning Services include PAP smears, pregnancy testing, birth control counseling, and gynecological care. Medication Assistance Program The "RxRelief" Medication Assistance Program helps income-eligible uninsured residents obtain low-cost medications. Provides basic health services for migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families in Southwest Virginia. Offers many services on a sliding scale to migrant and seasonal farmworkers. Services include, but are not limited to, the following: primary care medical services, health education, outreach, health assessments, referrals, and case management. The MHN outreach workers identify health problems and assist farmworkers to obtain health care at one of our clinical partners centers.

Those patients without a primary care physician will be referred to a physician of their choice or a Stone Mountain Health Services Provider.

The Dental Center at Blue Ridge Medical Center offers dental care to everyone - Accept more than 200 different insurances, including Medicaid and Tricare. A Sliding Scale discount is in place for low income individuals who otherwise may not be able to afford necessary dental care. Please call for application and appointment (which are required).

Provides comprehensive, accessible, affordable, and known health care for all Nelson County citizens and in surrounding Albemarle and Amherst Counties. Toward this end services and activities are provided which remove barriers to health and human services and increase the level of community health. Services include: transportation to and from health and human service appointments, home visits to provide health depot services for people not able to access the community clinics and to provide in-home assessments of health needs, information, referrals and facilitation of access, Every Woman's Life Health Passport (which offers: Pap test, breast exam and mammogram for women ages 40 to 64 who are not covered by Medicare), medication health services, health education and support groups, school based health care, Community Health Council and Provider Link. Other services provided include: * Health Depots -- mini clinics at community sites providing preventive health care, primary care, and chronic case management. * Interpretation (Spanish/English) for local farm workers. * Medicaid outreach targeting children not enrolled or enrolled and not accessing services. * School nursing services - all Nelson County schools. * Health education and support groups. Provides community health care in the capacity of family practice.
Provides medical and behavioral health care services as well as specialty services such as: diabetes treatment, wellness and nutrition classes. Offer core health care services to anyone in need, regardless of age or ability to pay, whether you have insurance or not.
Serves patients who are fully uninsured, with no Medicare or Medicaid, low-income, below 200 percent of the federal poverty level and reside in Tazewell, Buchanan or Russell counties. Some of our patients are working either full or part time jobs which do not provide health insurance or cannot afford it with the minimum wages being earned.
