The Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative is an effort to address teenage sexual activity. The initiative is operated in seven health districts: Richmond, Roanoke, Crater, Portsmouth, Norfolk, Eastern Shore, and Alexandria Callers can request contact information for each site to learn more about the opportunities to participate in their areas.

Offers comprehensive pregnancy care including high-risk obstetric care and in-office ultrasounds(including 3D and 4D ultrasounds). Provides gynecology services including second opinions for surgery, birth control options and family planning, and breast health care.
Provides obstetric and gynological care for women. Augusta Health Care for Women is comprised of both male and female physicians, certified nurse midwives, and a nurse practitioner. Offers offices in both Lexington and Fishersville. Each patient is managed by the individual service provider they choose, but even when a specific provider is absent, the patients are confident in all personnel because all of our medical providers address our patients with consistent service and compassion. ACCESSIBILITY: Fully accessible to persons with disabilities.

Other women's health services include birth control, pap smears, breast and annual exams. Provides required childhood immunizations. Car seats are available for Medicaid eligible infants and children.

Offers a life affirming Christian ministry, committed to the holistic support of women, men and their families facing unintended or potential pregnancy. The Center is non-profit and all services are free, respectful, and confidential. Provides free pregnancy tests, counseling on all pregnancy options including abortion, parenting, & adoption; birth control and emergency contraception information appointments, post-abortion counseling, baby and maternity clothing, baby items, and practical support to women and men in unexpected pregnancies, regardless of background, beliefs or situation. Counseling, educational and medical services are offered. Maternity clothing is available at the Charlottesville Pregnancy Center and baby items can be easily earned through Building Blocks program.

Provides health care for expectant mothers and their babies in order to give children the best possible start in life. Nurses work with expectant mothers of all ages; mothers expecting their first babies, and mothers expecting their fourth; mothers who are in their first trimester of pregnancy, and those who will delivery in a matter of weeks. Ensures that all pregnant women enrolled in the program are covered with health insurance through either Pregnant Medicaid or FAMIS Moms. Offers transportation to doctor appointments, nutrition education, infant care education, breastfeeding support with a lactation consultant, and referrals to area childbirth education classes.

Includes regular check-ups and screening services to help protect reproductive health. Covered services include: Annual physical exam for men and annual family planning / gynecological exam for women Pap screening for women Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing Family planning education and counseling Sterilization procedures FDA approved prescription contraceptives FDA approved over-the-counter contraceptives Referrals to a primary care provider for services not covered by Plan First. To apply for services, requesting Medicaid ID Cards or to opt out of the program - Contact your local Department of Social Services, health department or family planning clinic. Provide clinical maternity care and family planning services.
Provides confidential sexual and reproductive health services to teens, women, and men. Services available at all five New River Health District locations include education and counseling, physical exams, pap smears, pregnancy tests, testing for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, and a wide range of birth control options. Implants and IUDs - are available at each of the locations and can be inserted right on-site by clinicians. Birth control injections, pills, patches, rings, diaphragms, and condoms are also available.
Provides an in-vitro fertilization clinic and a reproductive medicine program which offers nearly every form of infertility treatment for men and women. Also conducts research in menopause, infertility, contraception, and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis. There fertility treatment team is committed to providing you with superior patient care in a compassionate, caring environment. Due to stress and frustration that you have experienced in your quest to have a family, they will strive to make your experience with their facility successful.
Provides free, confidential pregnancy testing and pregnancy confirmation ultrasound and free STI testing and treatment. Offers pregnancy options counseling including information about abortion and alternatives. Provides peer counseling on relationships, sexually-transmitted infections (STDs), and support after a pregnancy continuation/termination choice. Roanoke City and Alleghany Health Districts (RCAHD) Family Planning program gives clients the opportunity to determine the number and spacing of their children by providing information, counseling and medical services.
