Early Childhood Initiative - Richmond, Family Lifeline

Family Lifeline's Early Childhood Initiative offers three models of early childhood home visitation: Healthy Families, Children's Health Involving Parents (CHIP), and Parents As Teachers. We work in partnership with parents to offer health education and parenting guidance to pregnant persons and families with young children. Additionally, asthma case management services are provided to eligible children up to the age of 18 years.

Medical Screenings - Charlottesville, Jefferson Area Board for the Aging

Nurse visits in rural JABA Community Centers and homebound settings in the Counties of Albemarle, Greene, Fluvanna, Louisa, Nelson and the City of Charlottesville. The health services staff and volunteers perform some medical screenings. Provides education about nutrition, safety, medications, mobility, hygiene, foot care, and exercise. They also help facilitate coordination with participants' doctors and caregivers if requested by patient.
