Youth Programs - Falls Church, Northern Virginia Family Service

NVFS' Youth Initiatives programs provide teenagers and young adults with the skills and resources needed to build healthier well-being - at school, at home and within their communities. This includes connections to healthy activities as well as the skills to build and maintain healthy relationships with friends and family. Providing youth with these tools helps them build brighter futures not only for themselves, but for their community as well.

Youth Services - Dunn Loring, Second Story

Provides outreach to teens in the Bailey's Crossroads and Culmore areas (Falls Church) and in Springfield and Franconia in Fairfax County. Seeks to prevent alcohol, drug and sexual abuse and makes treatment referrals. Also works to reduce gang violence.

Prevention Services - Lynchburg , Lynchburg Juvenile Services

A wide variety of community and school based prevention programs and services are provided, including mentoring, health and nutrition, substance use prevention, work readiness, skill building workshops; youth group consisting of local high school students; conducts community-wide needs assessment; works in conjunction with other youth-serving agencies to provide programs and services.

Social Emotional Learning and Bullying Prevention - Richmond, Challenge Discovery Projects

A bullying and violence prevention program currently available in seven Richmond schools. Trained counselors work weekly with children to teach and reinforce critical skills such as tolerance, effective communication and understanding personal boundaries.
