The Sunshine Food Bus travels to three locations in Goochland County, serving free meals to all children ages 18 and under. Participating children also receive a book with every meal, and daily drawings will be held at each location.
Monday through Thursday, June 10 through July 18, the Sunshine Food Bus will stop at the following locations at the following times:
· Anitoch Baptist Church Parking Lot, 4712 River Rd. West, Goochland VA 23063 Monday & Tuesday 10:50AM-11:15AM
· Cornerstone Baptist Church Parking Lot, 4481 Three Square Rd., Goochland VA 23063 Monday & Tuesday 11:30AM - 11:55AM
· Mt. Olive Baptist Church Parking Lot, 1630 Manakin Rd., Manakin-Sabot VA 23103 Monday -Thursdsay 12:30PM-1:15PM
. Leakes Mill Park, 3951 River Road West, Goochland VA 23063 Wednesday & Thursday 11AM-12PM
There will be no meal service June 19 or July 4. Adult meals may purchased at a discounted price.

CACFP also provides meals and snacks to emergency shelters. The Summer Food Service Program is generally administered from the close of the school year through late August. Nutritious meals are provided to participants in these programs that are sponsored by public schools, parks and recreation center, etc.

To ensure that children receive the same high quality meals during school vacations that they get in school cafeterias during the school year. Nutritious meals are served free of charge at sites that are operated or sponsored by a local organization and are approved by VDOE. This program is federally funded by USDA, but is administered in Virginia by the VDOE.
