FAMIS Select is a health insurance premium assistance program. Dental services for children enrolled in FAMIS or FAMIS Plus are provided through the Smiles For Children program. The Smiles For Children program encourages good dental health and recommends regular check-ups with your child's dentist.

Vital Records provides information and forms to utilize in securing birth certificates and establishments of paternity. Issues death certificates for all deaths occurring in the city/county. Client keeps a small monthly allowance for personal needs, and the rest of their monthly income is applied to the State approved rate. The Auxiliary Grant pays the balance of the approved rate to the provider.

A private agency licensed by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) providing In Home Support Services to individuals with an Intellectual and/or Developmental Disability (IDD). Services are individual-specific as indicated during the annual planning meeting and provide targeted skill-building and daily living assistance directly in the individual's home or family home and in the community.

The Virginia Real Estate Transaction Recovery Act provides relief to eligible consumers who have incurred losses through the improper or dishonest conduct of a licensed real estate salesperson, broker, or firm. The Recovery Fund is supported entirely by assessments paid by licensees, not by any tax revenues. Filing a claim does not guarantee payment. State law limits a single Recovery Fund claim to $20,000. Multiple claims involving the same real estate licensee are limited to $100,000 per biennial license period. If multiple claims involving one licensee exceed $100,000, the claim amounts must be prorated. If there is reason to believe there will be multiple claims involving one licensee, payment of claims will be delayed for a period not to exceed one year. The Recovery Fund does not pay interest, punitive damages, exemplary damages, or any amounts that do not constitute actual monetary loss to the claimant. However, the award (claim) may include attorneys' fees and court costs. Claimants should be aware that obtaining assistance from the Recovery Fund is not a swift process in most cases, and occurs only after all other civil legal remedies are exhausted.

Houses the suicide hotline and is the designated information and referral center for Maryland 2-1-1 for the entire eastern shore of Maryland. Advocates and provides a wide range of services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.

Identifies the needs of youth and their families and is a referral agency to appropriate services.

Volunteers are a vital help to JFS Richmond, and these roles offer valuable non-profit work experience.
