Fuel Assistance assists low-income eligible households by supplementing home energy costs. Applications are accepted the second Tuesday in October through the second Friday in November.
Crisis Assistance assists low-income households with energy related emergencies. Applications are accepted November 1st through March 15th.
Cooling Assistance assists households in acquiring or repairing cooling equipment and /or payment of electric bills to operate cooling equipment. This way, we make fresh foods and staples accessible where our neighbors live, work, and play. Your support of the Mobile Food Pantry and Neighborhood Produce Markets provides stability to families, children, and seniors in need through wholesome foods all year long.
In the Eastern Region we have Mobile Food Pantries in Dillwyn, Scottsville, Palmyra, Reva, Orange, and Columbia.

Job Corps is a residential career training program. The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment. Job Corps has trained and educated over two million individuals since 1964. At Job Corps, students have access to room and board while they learn skills in specific training areas. In addition to helping students complete their education, obtain career technical skills and gain employment, Job Corps also provides transitional support services, such as help finding employment, housing, childcare, and transportation. When you complete Job Corps you can enter the workforce or begin an apprenticeship, or attend higher education, or join the military.
