The Central Virginia Regional Library serves as a lifelong learning resource by providing access to information and assisting in its use for personal and community development. The library will meet informational needs and assist with educational, civic, and cultural activities using resources, classes, and programs.
Supports public health education and promotion by raising awareness about National Health Observances year-round. NHIC also helps connect health professionals and consumers to the organizations that can best answer their questions by providing up-to-date contact information for the most reliable resources.

A full service branch of the Roanoke County Library System.
Jones Memorial Library is a research library and archive with collections in genealogy and local history. We collect, organize, preserve and make available materials for research on genealogy and the history of the Lynchburg area. The library is free and open to researchers some services such as photocopying of materials may incur a fee. Materials do not circulate and are available for use in the library. The Richmond Public Library promotes reading and the active use of cultural, intellectual, and information resources through a dedication to excellence and professional service. In addition to books, e-books, recorded books and DVD's, all Library locations offer programs and classes, meeting room use, wireless Internet access, and public use PCs. Fax service is available at each library for a fee to send faxes (not receive); notary service is available at each library (please call to make sure the registered notary is available).
The Special Services Library offers library materials and services for individuals who are blind and physically handicapped, including talking books and Braille materials.

Provides a Talking Book Center - a free library service for individuals who cannot read standard print materials due to a visual or physical handicap or learning disability. By distributing recorded books and magazines and special machines to play them, the TBC serves patrons of Planning District 6. The 'point of access' computer includes scanner, voice synthesizer, large print screen, a CD-ROM reader and a Braille printer.

Services offered are the following: 1. Resources -Information about professionals, services and programs with brain injury expertise. 2. Information dissemination - individualized information packets to expand understanding about brain injury. Our Clearinghouse contains hundreds of articles about various aspects of brain injury. 3. Telephone assistance-individualized support to callers, including helping callers understand and access the services available in the Commonwealth. 4. Support Group Information-provide information about support groups around the state.
Provides and encourages the use of the library resources and services to meet the educational, recreational, informational needs and interests of the public; thus enhancing individual and community life. Offers a Summer Reading Program for children and youth. This library provides internet access for citizens. Has a meeting room available for rental by local civic organizations. Hosts programs throughout the year.

Outreach Services serves Loudoun County residents whose circumstances prevent them from visiting the library. The team travels to senior centers, independent and assisted-living facilities, and nursing homes. We also provide support to the juvenile and adult detention centers.
