This includes services such as counseling, pastoral care, utility assistance, family and children services, health care, transportation, and more. The Community Resource Center also provides utility assistance to those facing electric, gas, or water disconnections.

The Connections for Hope Partnership is a collective impact initiative that brings together high performing nonprofits, county services, community service providers, and resident/community leadership, co-located in Herndon and integrating services to address multiple, complex barriers of low-income and vulnerable residents. Partners in this effort serve families and individuals, youth and adults who are facing eviction, homelessness, hunger, poor health or who have other human service needs in areas of housing, health, education, financial literacy, job development and food security.

Calling the Hotline is often the first step an individual makes to access the mental health services and social service organizations within the community. Exists to serve the community with prompt, non-judgmental and comprehensive response to crises, with the goal of supporting increased stability and coping skills through prevention, intervention, postvention, information and referral.

The Span Center, formerly known as Senior Connections, offers Information and Assistance Program receives requests from older adults and caregivers seeking assistance. Intake Staff responds to these requests by providing information and assistance or making referrals to other Senior Connections programs or community resources.
Provides referrals to health and nutrition, financial aid, day care, employment services, social services, child care resources, mental health/ mental retardation, substance abuse, legal problems, aging and disability services, and other human services needs. Provides information on housing services in the City of Falls Church. Age and/or income limits may apply to some programs. Part of the Northern Virginia Information and Referral Network.

The Jewish Council for the Aging (JCA) Senior Helpline provides free information and referrals for older adults and family caregivers throughout the DC region. Callers can receive information and referrals for home care, housing, transportation and other services.
Offers information, referral and care planning to older persons and their families. Educational materials can be mailed, emailed, or texted.
ACTUAL LOCATION: Bedford Central Library. The Bedford County Public Library, Central Library, has an information kiosk with pamphlets on health care issues and area programs, as well as health information on the web.
