Resource Center - Herndon, Connections for Hope Partnership, Cornerstones

The Connections for Hope Partnership is a collective impact initiative that brings together high performing nonprofits, county services, community service providers, and resident/community leadership, co-located in Herndon and integrating services to address multiple, complex barriers of low-income and vulnerable residents. Partners in this effort serve families and individuals, youth and adults who are facing eviction, homelessness, hunger, poor health or who have other human service needs in areas of housing, health, education, financial literacy, job development and food security.

Offer referral to our community partners in Health and Medical Services, Human Services, Animal and Environmental Services, and Youth and Education Services. Also offers The TALK Helpline (434) 924-8255 is available 24 hours (September 9-May 10) annually. This is a student-run, student-operated program, staffed entirely of volunteers, affiliated with Madison House. Strives to provide callers with an emphatic ear for any sort of issue they wish to discuss. While HELP LINE volunteers complete a training program, we are not professionals, and so we focus on finding long-term services in the community for our callers, such as counseling services, medical services, drug treatment programs, and the like.
