The purpose of the Kenmore Club is to provide citizens who are living with the effects of mental illness the chance to work and become self-supporting members of the community. Members participate voluntarily in work units of their choice which focus on the duties necessary for the daily operation of the Club. Work units include: Food; Membership; Clerical; and Maintenance. By taking part in the unit activities members gain confidence, build self-esteem, learn job-related skills, and work with others towards a common goal of recovery. Kenmore Club also provides educational training and transitional employment opportunities.

Services include telephone interventions; face to face assessments and evaluations (including pre-admissions screening); psychiatric consultations and other consultations about mental health, substance abuse and special populations that include youth, adolescents, geriatrics, people with intellectual disabilities, and people involved in the forensic system. Provides mobile crisis response and community stabilization services. Assessment for entry is through Emergency Services - 664-7690.

Connections ABA & Family Support Services Provides home-based and clinic-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children and adolescents under the age of 21 who demonstrate significant impairment in adaptive functioning that is related to either developmental delays or other health conditions.

Case Managers link, coordinate, and monitor services and supports within the community. Supports are provided in the areas of medical, employment, social, recreational, legal, financial and educational settings.
Disability accessible facility supports adults who have a primary diagnosis of intellectual disabilities or developmental disability. Activities take place primarily in the facility (center-based), with community activities occurring about once a month. Additional services offered through the Lynchburg Regional Office are: In-Home Support Services, Family Care Home Services and Respite Services.
Same Day Assessment, mental health and substance use treatment, outpatient therapy, case management, emergency services, school-based services, supportive housing, community based treatment, prevention education, early intervention, and aftercare services, for ersons affected by mental health, intellectual disabilities, substance use and co-occurring disrders. An early intervention program, CHIP addresses the unique mental health risks children and families in poverty face, through in-home family support and parenting education that helps lessen the detrimental effects of poverty. Families receive support and encouragement, therapeutic interventions, parenting guidance, referrals for counseling or out patient counseling through CHIP either in-home or in an office setting, care coordination for psychiatric evaluation and medication management. When combined, these interventions produce confident parents, self-sufficient families, and healthy children with a strong foundation upon which to build future successes. Mental health services focus on mothers with mental health issues (diagnosed or presenting) and children through age seven who are at risk for serious emotional disturbance, as well as children who are already showing signs of emotional or behavioral issues.

VFS Intensive In-Home Services are designed to improve family dynamics, preventing out of home placement and assisting those returning home from out of home placement (group home, foster home, juvenile detention, emergency shelter, psychiatric hospitalization and residential facilities) other components of service include providing therapeutic interventions, family and individual therapy, care coordination and emergency assistance.
Region Ten provides a variety of mental health services to meet the needs of our community. Services are provided for all age groups and are provided on an individual, group, or family basis. Services are also available at numerous locations across our catchment area to those experiencing mental health challenges and who may also have issues with substance use. Mental Health Services are strength-based, recovery-oriented services designed to evaluate and treat the mental health challenges that individuals may experience during their lifetime.

Outpatient behavioral health, mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring programs for adults, children and adolescents are provided at Watauga Behavioral Health Services. Services include individual and group psychotherapy, marital and family therapy, pharmacotherapy, crisis services, case management, education and consultation services, parenting classes, psychiatric consultation, intensive outpatient alcohol and drug treatment, Continuous Treatment Team and Comprehensive Child and Family, and Peer Support Services. Also offered at this site are Child abuse Prevention, a parent education group offered at no charge for parents; Family Links, a short-term respite program for families with children 2 to 15 years old and have severe emotional disturbances in the Tri-Cities area. The program is 8 to 12 weeks for 2 to 4 hours one time per week; Greenwood Challenge, a ropes course carefully planned as an outdoor learning environment where mental and physical problem-solving activities are included. Offers simple to complex elements, develops courage, vision, team spirit, and leadership skills; Mother-Child Connection, an outpatient program for substance-abusing women who are pregnant or mothers of dependent children; Regional Intervention Program, a parent-implemented program that helps parents work with their own children; and Student Assistance Program, clinical services for at-risk students.

Provides school based intervention services to elementary, middle, and high school students focusing on behavior management, academic improvement, and life skill development. Services provided may include individual and/or group counseling, crisis intervention, behavior modification, and classroom coaching.
Offers a self-help rehabilitation program designed to meet the needs of individuals who have a history of mental illness. The program operates as a club where members are voluntary participants and contributors. They carry out the work of the house, vote on decisions effecting the club and provide mutual support to each other.

PHILLIPS Family Partners provides home-based and outpatient therapy services to children and families of any age living in Northern Virginia. Referrals typically come from state agencies and schools. Alternately, families themselves may also refer a child, with payment based on a sliding scale. We also provide Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), ADOS and ADIR Autism screening. Services are typically provided in six-month cycles including intake, treatment plan development, 30-day assessment and follow up.
