Location also has The Within Reach Peer Resource Center. A free place for adults recovering from mental health and/or substance use to access Peer Support, learn and practice recovery skills and exercise choice and decision-making skills, all in a safe and supportive environment. Certified Peer Recovery Specialists are on hand to share their lived experience in an open and non-judgmental atmosphere, through both group and individual peer support. Connect with others in recovery through groups, activities and one-on-one support. The center is open to anyone (you do not have to be a client of Northwestern) that wishes to receive group or individual Peer Support. It also offers the use of the computer lab, T.V., movies, wi-fi, video games, books and endless resources for all recovery paths.

Emergency Services is a 24-hour crisis intervention program that provides consultation services and assessment of individuals with mental health or substance abuse issues. Services at Culpeper Clinic can provide medication for the treatment of substance abuse. Individuals who are either on SAMAT medications (such as Suboxone or Vivitrol) or those who are candidates for this treatment are evaluated by Encompass Community Supports (ECS) medical staff. In addition to medical services ECS offers clinical services to include individual and/or group therapy.

Emergency Services are unscheduled and sometimes scheduled crisis intervention, stabilization, and referral assistance provided over the telephone and face-to-face, if indicated, 24 hours per day and seven days per week to people seeking such services for themselves or others. The Intensive Outpatient Program is for individuals who need a greater level of support to maintain substance recovery. IOP can be the first step individuals takes toward recovery or can be used as a support for individuals following a course inpatient substance use treatment. IOP at CBH is an ASAM 2.1 level of care and a co-occurring capable program, meaning treating both mental health and substance use.
