Community Support Programs-Case Management is composed of programs designed to provide community based Behavioral Health services to seriously mentally ill adults and those with substance use disorders Program activities support consumer recovery and community integration by providing a continuum of services designed to promote maximum independence in the community. Services are tailored to respond to the unique needs of individuals with serious mental illness.

Provides a wide variety of clinical services for residents of the City of Lynchburg and the surrounding area. Both adults and children are offered individualized service options and specializations to meet their unique behavioral health needs. At this location, individuals have access to both in-person and telehealth care for adult and child medication management, nursing assessments, psychological evaluations, specialized outpatient therapy, specialized case management, emergency services, ambulatory crisis stabilization for children, school based services, health information management, and group therapy sessions. Offers outpatient mental health services for adults age 18+ which include crisis intervention, case management, medication monitoring, re-socialization, early intervention, community and in-home mental health support services. Mental illness education and prevention services aim to reduce the risk of mental illness and substance abuse. They also aim to help people with mental illness manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life.

Crisis services provides residents of Danville & Pittsylvania County, as well as those present in the area, with 24 hour a day crisis intervention to aid in the management of acute behavioral health problems. Also provides all prescreening evaluations for admission to state hospitals.

Psychological assessment is provided for children, adolescents and adults. These services assist with diagnostic clarification and treatment planning for referred individuals. Referrals are made by local industries, health care providers, legal services, Department of Children Services, Department of Human Services, law enforcement, emergency agencies, and school systems.

The Early Intervention Program of Loudoun provides specialized services for families and children birth through thirty-six months of age. The program serves infants and toddlers who have a suspected delay, a diagnosis that could lead to delays, or atypical development. Children with vision and hearing impairments can also be served in this program.

A qualified staff member works one on one with individuals to teach them how to develop coping skills, access community resources, develop a natural support system, and locate safe and affordable housing. Provides 24 hour a day supervision, training, and assistance in daily living skills for adults who have a developmental disability. Mental Health Intake & Resource Center handles direct admissions to the adult (Mundy 3) and child/adolescent (Krise 6) psychiatric acute programs at Virginia Baptist Hospital. Mental health professionals from across Virginia may call for a direct admission if they have assessed the patient and believe she/he meets criteria (danger to self or others). Detecting and tackling developmental delays promptly allows for tailored support, bolstering cognitive, communication, and social proficiencies in children with autism spectrum disorder. This program emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis and treatment to foster development during crucial formative years.

Assesses the consumer's needs for housing, medical care, employment, etc. and seeks to help the individual obtain these resources. This approach is long term and indefinite, with efforts prioritized to those at risk of rehospitalization. Case management services include hospital liaison and discharge planning. Maintains responsibility for the consumer as the person enters the psychiatric hospital and while an inpatient, the case manager works with the family, inpatient staff and community services board programs to insure an effective plan to return to the community.

Provided in each of the offices by clinical social workers, and counselors. Outpatient counseling services are brief in nature, often using "solution focused" or other brief models of behavior modification. Evaluations and medical management to children and young adults aged 0-21, including services for ADHD, anxiety disorders, bipolar spectrum disorders, development disorders, learning disabilities, depressive disorders, learning disabilities, depressive disorders, post traumatic stress disorders, psychotic spectrum disorders, and traumatic brain disorders. Services include assessment, psychiatry, therapy, case management, and collaborative referrals for other community resources.

An early intervention program, CHIP addresses the unique mental health risks children and families in poverty face, through in-home family support and parenting education that helps lessen the detrimental effects of poverty. Families receive support and encouragement, therapeutic interventions, parenting guidance, referrals for counseling or out patient counseling through CHIP either in-home or in an office setting, care coordination for psychiatric evaluation and medication management. When combined, these interventions produce confident parents, self-sufficient families, and healthy children with a strong foundation upon which to build future successes. Mental health services focus on mothers with mental health issues (diagnosed or presenting) and children through age seven who are at risk for serious emotional disturbance, as well as children who are already showing signs of emotional or behavioral issues.
