An early intervention program, CHIP addresses the unique mental health risks children and families in poverty face, through in-home family support and parenting education that helps lessen the detrimental effects of poverty. Families receive support and encouragement, therapeutic interventions, parenting guidance, referrals for counseling or out patient counseling through CHIP either in-home or in an office setting, care coordination for psychiatric evaluation and medication management. When combined, these interventions produce confident parents, self-sufficient families, and healthy children with a strong foundation upon which to build future successes. Mental health services focus on mothers with mental health issues (diagnosed or presenting) and children through age seven who are at risk for serious emotional disturbance, as well as children who are already showing signs of emotional or behavioral issues.

Evaluations and medical management to children and young adults aged 0-21, including services for ADHD, anxiety disorders, bipolar spectrum disorders, development disorders, learning disabilities, depressive disorders, learning disabilities, depressive disorders, post traumatic stress disorders, psychotic spectrum disorders, and traumatic brain disorders. A qualified staff member works one on one with individuals to teach them how to develop coping skills, access community resources, develop a natural support system, and locate safe and affordable housing.
