Providing comprehensive mental health counseling and support services for individuals, couples, families, and children who have been affected by sexual assault and/or domestic violence. Provide support services, hospital accompaniment, short and long-term counseling, support groups and legal advocacy primarily for victims of rape and personal violence. The program is an active participant in coordination of Sexual Assault Response Teams (SART's) in each of the following localities: Chesapeake, Franklin, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach, as well as a military SART.

Quaker House provides no-cost, confidential, individual counseling with a licensed clinical social worker. Offers counseling for issues of domestic violence, sexual assault, and moral injury.

Sexual Assault Response - 24 hour face to face and help-line assistance to children, teens, and adults who have been sexually abused and/or assaulted. SARP is a major referral source for the criminal justice system, child protective services, forensics nurses, schools, and health care agencies. SARP offers direct victim assistance through an array of services from crisis intervention and advocacy during initial emergency room exams throughout treatment, court proceedings, support groups, and the overall recovery process. SARP also provides awareness and educational programs to area schools, businesses, allied professionals, and the general public.

This can be a scary time for anyone. But you do not have to be alone. WRC Emergency Advocates assist women, men, and children immediately following a crisis.
