Carilion Clinic's Center for Healthy Aging (CCHA) offers a comprehensive and integrated approach to the complex care needs of older people. The center brings together specialized teams with geriatric expertise in assessment, medicine, psychiatry, counseling, nursing and nutrition. The CCHA is here to serve as a consultative resource to physicians, families and individuals. Our goal is to help maximize the independence and functional ability of people as they age.

Comprehensive programs are designed to address older adults’ physical, emotional, and social needs, ensuring they receive the necessary support to live independently at home.

Provides care management services to elderly persons and their adult children. Services include consultations, psychotherapy and counseling with adult children and older people, visits and assessments in the home, nursing home, or hospital. Locates resources in the family's or the relative's community. Maintains a national network of private geriatric care managers. Offers initial one-half hour introductory consult at no charge.
