Engages persons age 55 and older in activities which meet community needs. RSVP volunteers have been serving in our communities since 1972. Benefits to the volunteer include: 77 agencies and hundreds of assignments, * insurance while volunteering *, recognition of volunteer services. RSVP projects include: Head Start, food pantries, American Heart Association, United Way, America Reads, health fairs, nursing home placements, Neighborhood Watch, Chamber of Commerce, libraries, schools, Red Cross Bloodmobile, and many others.
The region's non-profit volunteer resource hub, working with community non-profit and public service organizations to address volunteer needs. promotes the professional development of effective volunteer programs in partner organizations by providing resources and training opportunities and recognizes the efforts of community volunteers during National Volunteer Week.

Promotes volunteering by individuals, groups and corporations. Serves as a resource on volunteering for non-profit agencies. Does not offer placement services.
Provides a non-profit agency which supports community agencies in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. Its non-profit campus provides space for 22 non-profit and public service agencies committed to improving the health and well-being of our community. Our Health strives to develop collaborative partnerships through grant writing and administration, training and technical assistance and its Volunteer Action Center. Training and technical assistance are provided for both non-profit agencies and volunteers.
