Service Animals - Roanoke, Saint Francis Service Dogs

Primary service is placing service dogs with people with disabilities. Serves people with a wide range of disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, brain injury, stroke, paralysis, and many other debilitating conditions. Partners with facilities to place dogs to assist in educational, healthcare, counseling, and visitation settings. While these are not service dogs and do not have public access, they work daily to assist a wide range of people to overcome their disabilities. Offers volunteer opportunities.

Services available through the Fauquier SPCA include lost and found assistance, humane education, pet therapy, spay/neuter surgery, tag identification, and behavioral training. Our major focus is on the complete elimination of the pain and suffering caused by pet overpopulation and neglect. Provides an animal shelter for the County of Madison that operates under guidelines from the Commonwealth of Virginia to temporarily house stray or injured animals, provide for adoption of as many animals as possible,unadoptable animals are sent to other rescues .The Shelter strives to encourage, promote, and preserve responsible pet ownership and to prevent any form of cruelty to animals.
