Region Ten provides a variety of mental health services to meet the needs of our community. Services are provided for all age groups and are provided on an individual, group, or family basis. Services are also available at numerous locations across our catchment area to those experiencing mental health challenges and who may also have issues with substance use. Mental Health Services are strength-based, recovery-oriented services designed to evaluate and treat the mental health challenges that individuals may experience during their lifetime.

Provides intake, mental health case management, intellectual and developmental disability case management, and outpatient psychiatric appointments for adults and youth.

Provide face to face or telephone response to individuals and families experiencing crisis, or to an involved party who is concerned about the person in crisis. Emergency Services team is comprised of state certified, licensed and experienced clinicians who are available on the Eastern Shore 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Clinicians provide assessment, diagnosis, counseling, psychiatry crisis, peer support, and case management services. Referrals are made within RACS (such as to the psychiatrist) or to other professionals as necessary. RACS offers Emergency Services including: 24/7 Mental Health Crisis Services, Crisis Counseling, and Inpatient substance use treatment referrals; Mental/Behavioral Health Services for Adult & Children including: Case Management, Group Therapy, Individual Counseling, Intensive Care Coordination, Peer Support (Veteran/Family), Psychiatry, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, and Therapeutic Day Treatment; Developmental Support Services including: Adult day support programming, Adult group homes, Early Intervention, Support Coordination; Substance Use Disorder Services including: Case Management, Group Therapy, Medication Assisted Treatment, Peer Support; and Prevention Services including: Community Coalition work, Lock and Talk - suicide prevention, Medication storage & disposal resources, school-based education programming, and trainings: Mental Health First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, SafeTALK, REVIVE, Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training.

Provides a support group for persons in Co Dependent relationships. Co Dependents Anonymous is a fellowship of people whose common problem is an inability to maintain functional relationships.

Free non-therapeutic, professionally facilitated support groups for both adults and teens suffering from depression, anxiety, bipolar, and suicide loss.

Provides mental health counseling to residents of Waynesboro, Staunton and Augusta. A sliding scale fee is available for all clients, based on the client's family income and number of dependents. Most health insurances are also accepted. Individual, couples, marital, and family counseling is provided for a wide variety of presenting issues: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, domestic violence, social and emotional difficulties, sexual abuse and recovery, career change and job stress, grief and loss, child and adolescent concerns, LGBQT+ issues, coping with life transitions, anger management, family and parenting concerns, and more.

Valley Health Senior Structured Outpatient Program is medically supervised and tailored to meet the needs of older adults requiring behavioral health treatment and extra support is required. Most therapy sessions will be in group format,although individual and family therapy can be provided if clinically indicated. These groups are facilitated by a licensed clinical social worker or licensed professional counselor and under the supervision of a board certified psychiatrist. Additionally,the patient's care is coordinated with the individual's Primary Care Physician. Medicare and Private Insurance accepted. Provides a support and advocacy group for family and friends of those suffering from mental illness. We welcome all concerned individuals -- parents, siblings, spouses and friends - who want to learn how to help or how to cope with when there is mental illness. Person with mental illness who would like to share information or learn more are also welcomed. Provides education, support, advocacy, a library and referrals. Also has a bus and operates own transportation when needed.

Offers support programs for individuals, family members, providers and the general public.

This ministry provides encouragement and support to spouses of military men. This group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month in the Fellowship Hall. A quality pre-school and home-school program is provided.

Offers outpatient mental health services for adults age 18+ which include crisis intervention, case management, medication monitoring, re-socialization, early intervention, community and in-home mental health support services.

JSSA offers a variety of workshops and support groups for individuals struggling with social, emotional, and physical challenges. These programs include life skills workshops, social skills groups, and bereavement support groups.
