Emergency Services team is comprised of state certified, licensed and experienced clinicians who are available on the Eastern Shore 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Provides a recovery support. NAMI We Care Augusta supports recovery by providing hope, encouragement and support to the community, including mental health services to consumers and family members. The group also provides education regarding symptoms, current treatment and therapies, community resources and alternative approaches to mental health. Free monthly educational meetings and family support group sessions are offered. Issues of awareness of mental health issues and reducing stigma are promoted through participation in community events.

A social drop-in center (no appointment needed) for mental health consumers. Provides a safe, consumer run alternative for the purpose of socialization, self help, advocacy, recreation and education. Operates primarily during the time traditional providers of mental-health services are closed. Employs consumers of mental health services as staff with the belief that they can provide services for individuals, making their own lives more productive and meaningful, while enriching the lives of others. Sponsors support groups such as the Peer Support Group, Veteran's Support Group, Wellness Recovery Action Plan Workshops, Codependents Anonymous, Music Group, and Dual Recovery Anonymous; a 12-step program for people with both substance abuse and mental health issues. Provides activities such as bingo, chess and checkers, cook outs, karaoke, holiday activities and more. Veterans Group on Thursdays at 2pm.

Family Support Groups (FSG) are support groups for family members and friends of individuals living with a mental health condition. NAMI Northern Virginia offers 15 groups that meet virtually once or twice per month across Northern Virginia. A day support program, which enhances independent living skills and maximizes opportunities for community integration. Activities include life skills groups, support groups, recreation and socialization opportunities. The supported employment program provides employment services designed to teach the basic work habits necessary to be successful in obtaining and maintaining employment.

Host monthly Lunch & Learns to educate the public about important topics like suicide prevention, provide Mental Health First Aid to the community, provide Resource Guides to help those in need find therapy and resources quickly and easily, and bring together leaders from partner organizations to set community-wide goals to improve mental health access. Referrals are made within RACS (such as to the psychiatrist) or to other professionals as necessary. RACS offers Emergency Services including: 24/7 Mental Health Crisis Services, Crisis Counseling, and Inpatient substance use treatment referrals; Mental/Behavioral Health Services for Adult & Children including: Case Management, Group Therapy, Individual Counseling, Intensive Care Coordination, Peer Support (Veteran/Family), Psychiatry, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, and Therapeutic Day Treatment; Developmental Support Services including: Adult day support programming, Adult group homes, Early Intervention, Support Coordination; Substance Use Disorder Services including: Case Management, Group Therapy, Medication Assisted Treatment, Peer Support; and Prevention Services including: Community Coalition work, Lock and Talk - suicide prevention, Medication storage & disposal resources, school-based education programming, and trainings: Mental Health First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, SafeTALK, REVIVE, Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training.

Provides a support and advocacy group for family and friends of those suffering from mental illness. We welcome all concerned individuals -- parents, siblings, spouses and friends - who want to learn how to help or how to cope with when there is mental illness. Person with mental illness who would like to share information or learn more are also welcomed. Provides education, support, advocacy, a library and referrals. Also has a bus and operates own transportation when needed.

JSSA offers a variety of workshops and support groups for individuals struggling with social, emotional, and physical challenges. These programs include life skills workshops, social skills groups, and bereavement support groups.

Most health insurances are also accepted. Individual, couples, marital, and family counseling is provided for a wide variety of presenting issues: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, domestic violence, social and emotional difficulties, sexual abuse and recovery, career change and job stress, grief and loss, child and adolescent concerns, LGBQT+ issues, coping with life transitions, anger management, family and parenting concerns, and more.
