The Salvation Army offers group and individual music instruction to children, teens, and adults living in the Alexandria community.

The Williamsburg Parks and Recreation Department offers many wonderful City Parks for the public to enjoy.

Blue Ridge Recreation Area -Is owned and operated by Rockbridge County. It houses a 25-meter outdoor pool featuring a 12' diving well, as well as a separate wading/kiddies' pool for toddlers (enclosed by a fence). The pool site also includes bathhouses with dressing areas and hot showers, a playground with swings and picnic tables. Lake A. Willis Robertson - Is owned and operated by Rockbridge County. The Lake Robertson Recreation Area is a popular family destination featuring 56 tent and hook-up sites, picnic shelters, tennis courts, Lake Robertson Pool, volleyball court, 10 miles of hiking trails, boat and canoe rentals, horseshoes and a 26 acre fishing lake. A 400 acre scenic park providing rest and relaxation through camping, boating, fishing, hiking, and picnicking. With 22 miles of shoreline and water depths ranging up to 50 feet, Gatewood is ideal for the growth of many trophy size large mouth bass, along with a good number of crappie, catfish, blue gill, muskie and small mouth bass. No boat with petroleum motors are allowed. Canoes and boats with electric motors are available for rent on an hourly or daily basis. Campers at Gatewood can choose from 42 level campsites along the shoreline, all equipped with water and electrical hook-ups.

Peter Paul offers activites for senior citizens on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in partnership with the Senior Center of Greater Richmond. Transportation, meals, workshops, and enrichment activities are provided.

The Radford Senior Center uses the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) standard of recognizing seniors as 50 years old or older. All senior events are for senior citizens only.

Provides a facility whose primary use is for a Senior Citizens Center. The center provides a kitchen, restrooms and a large meeting room. The building may be rented for meetings, parties or other private events for a fee.

The Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Facilities provides recreational, cultural, social, educational, environmental and fitness programs for the public that enhance the quality of life. In addition, the department is responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining city parks, cemeteries and recreation facilities.

Provides parks/recreation areas, recreation/leisure instruction, recreational facilities, and recreational activities to the residents of Clarke County. The Department also manages the 107 acre Clarke County Park. After-School P.L.A.Y. provides a place for children to get homework assistance, enrichment activities, structured recreation, and general after school care. The department administers the VHD Summer Food Program, a service that provides a healthy breakfast and lunch.

Arlington's County's Office for Teens provides programs for teens, often created by teens, that are fun, engaging and that help teens develop the assets they need to be productive, happy and healthy.

Artists and performers go to the institution or facility to provide services on site. Usual facilities include nursing homes, family homeless shelters, assisted living facilities, dependent care day program, crisis programs and many more.

Organizes environmental stewardship programs, holds annual events including Winter Wildlife Festival and Earth Day, and seasonal classes such as kayaking, archery and hikes.
