Camp Baker offers a day summer camp, weekend and emergency respite, for children and adults with disabilities. The camp is located on a 22-acre wooded site in Chesterfield County, VA. Buildings and parking areas are handicap accessible. Year-round and seasonal recreation and training activities include swimming, music, hiking, arts and crafts, horseback riding and canoeing.

Summer camp provides recreational activities including swimming, golf, basketball, kickball, and field trips in partnership with the YMCA, Free Methodist Church, and Crimora Community Center. Licensed Child Day Center: Day Camp and Before & After School Care

YMCA Day Camp with activities including swimming, arts and crafts, games, nature exploration, sports, songs, field trips and much more. The program stresses socialization, self-confidence, self-awareness and teaches skills. Campers are divided into groups according to their grade.

Offers a special needs camp to provide therapeutic activities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and/or physical disabilities. Day camps and Therapeutic Horseback Riding are offered to adults and children. Some of the activities campers participate in are: horseback riding, arts & crafts, games, animal care, hayrides, nature walks, gardening, cooking and picnics. A wheelchair accessible tree house is also available. Each Summer Day Camp session is a week long and runs from 9:00AM-3:00PM each day, except on Fridays the camp ends at 2:00PM. There are three camp weeks each summer.

The Orange County Parks and Recreation Department (OCPR) is primarily responsible for the development of leisure activities for the citizens of Orange County. Also schedule the county facility at Barboursville Community Park. OCPR provides a wide variety of organized leisure activities for all ages. Camp Hope Haven offers an overnight summer camp for children from across Hampton Roads, many of them from the inner city. Activities include swimming, horseback riding, sports, games, arts and crafts, and Bible study. A gymnasium provides an outlet for fun and excitement on rainy days. Donor-funded CHH sponsorships often cover all the costs for low-income families that cannot afford to send their children to camp.
