Holston Family Services is a ministry of Holston United Methodist Home for Children. Services include adoption, foster care, in-home services, and therapy.

Provides a residential setting with supportive services specifically designed to meet the needs of individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness.

Providing safe housing, guidance, access to resources, and a path to permanency. Services include life skill development in a teaching model, connections with family, recreational activities, and access to on-campus nursing and psychiatric services.

Provides residential group homes for at risk 13-19 year old males and females who are neglected/abused or in need of services. They access services in the community, including school, therapy and medical services. The residents are able to obtain employment and develop independent living skills. Children are referred by local Departments of Social Services, Family Assessment Planning Teams, local school systems, legal guardians, and other treatment facilities. STARS has the capacity to serve up to 16 girls and 15 boys. Appropriate Referrals include developmentally disadvantaged adolescents with any of the following needs or disorders: Youth in need of Independent Living Skills, CHINS, Pregnant, Adjustment Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, Bi-Polar Disorder, Depression, Eating Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Personality Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Separation Anxiety Disorder, Mild Mental Retardation, and not appropriate for private foster care placement.

Provides long term residential care through a stable and structured environment. Offers care in a home like, family environment. Works with the individual in care and their family to help address their problems and, where appropriate, return them to their homes. Depending on their needs, youth in the Residential Care program will attend either Salem Public Schools or HopeTree Academy. Program is Level A Medicaid approved. Residents enjoy an active lifestyle including education, sports, community activities, church and Christian education, volunteerism, and part time employment.

24 hour residential facilities which are designed to provide housing and training in independent living skills for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

This program provides out-of-home placement to children of all ages who are abused and neglected and who may have emotional and/or behavioral problems.

YFT provides a full continuum of residential, educational and counseling services to adolescents and their families.
