Group Home - Lynchburg, Lynchburg Youth Group Home, Lynchburg Juvenile Services

Provides crisis stabilization through its shelter care services as well as a longer term program for those juveniles between the ages of 12-17 that require greater structure and supervision than can be provided in their home. These youth are referred by a Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court and/or Social Services in Lynchburg and surrounding counties. Services provided by LYGH include individual and group counseling as well as family meetings and structured home visits. The program works with the child to identify personal goals and to teach them to follow an educational and/or work plan to live a healthier lifestyle and form good relationships. LYGH offers instruction on improving decision making and developing anger management strategies to aid in becoming responsible members of their community.

Group Home - Wytheville, Presbyterian Childrens Home of the Highlands

The Presbyterian Children's Home of the Highlands is a long-term residential care facility located in Southwest Virginia designed to house 25 residents (10 boys & 10 girls, as well as 5 young men in our independent living program) in a cottage setting. The facility is licensed to work with residents 5 - 21 years of age, providing programming for both males and females.

Group Home - Lynchburg, Miller Home Of Lynchburg

Provide short term or long term care and guidance to non-delinquent girls, ages four through twenty-one, who cannot live with their own families. Residents who graduate from high school must meet specified criteria to continue placement. Miller Home endeavors to provide care and guidance within a non-institutional, supportive environment which encourages each girl to grow and develop to her highest potential.

Two cottages designed to meet the needs of children who have fallen victim to abuse, abandonment and neglect. Serves children between the ages of 5 and 18. Live-in residential counselors (houseparents) promote a family-style atmosphere, which gives the children the nurturing and love that is conducive to their proper growth and development.
