Some people who live in an adult care residence or an adult family care home can receive money from the Auxiliary Grant Program. The money received, plus other income is used by the person to pay for the care provided by the home. Individuals who receive money from this program are also eligible for medicaid.

Provides supplemental monthly payments for the fee charged by licensed Homes for Adults for eligible low income aged, blind, or disabled residents. Auxiliary Grant payments are made directly to Homes for Adults, not to the eligible residents.

Maintains a list of non-medical Personal Assistants for services funded from the state through the MEDICAID WAIVER Programs. State Funded Personal Assistance Services (PAS) provided through the Virginia Department For Aging and Rehabilitative Services to allow individuals with disabilities to live in their communities.

Provides home health services that include skilled nursing care, home health aide, physical, occupational and speech therapy, supplies and arranges for medical equipment under the direction of the patient's physician. Also provides medical social services.
