Staff can help with job searching, resumes, and applications, and the office provides a bank of computers for job seekers to use. If you lose your job, Virginia Works can help you with your claim for unemployment insurance (UI) benefits. Claims can be filed online at www.vec.virginia.gov, or by phone at 1-866-832-2363. In all services, Virginia Works gives priority to qualified Veterans. For employers, Virginia Works provides assistance with UI taxes and with recruitment, screening, and referrals of candidates.
