Provides full assortment of career planning services to job seekers, a wide range of value-added services to employers and provides youth service programs. To develop and implement local workforce strategies through the collaborative efforts of local businesses, elected officials and state agencies/programs that encourage economic growth through maximum employment and full utilization of workforce skills, experience and expertise. Virginia Works staff at our Viginia Workforce Centers make available job search assistance to individuals and recruiting and referral services to employers. Services available to workers include job referral and placement, referral to training, and job search skill building activities, and basic unemployment insurance filing assistance. Virginia Works staff can assist employers by screening and referring applicants for job vacancies, providing critical labor market information for business and economic planning, and coordinating Employer Advisory Committee activities across the state.

Offers over 100 programs delivered by Appalachian College of Pharmacy, James Madison University, Radford University, Region 5 Adult Education, Roanoke College, Sovah School of Health Professions, TAP This Valley Works, Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia State University, Virginia Tech, and Virginia Western Community College. GED, workforce readiness, associate's, bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees; certificates and industry endorsements. Administrative offices for Project Discovery and TAP Head Start are also part of RHEC.

Frontier Industries is dedicated to empowering people with developmental, emotional and/or physical disabilities offering vocational, employment, residential, developmental and community integration services to achieve personal independence. Supported Living offers needed supports for adults with developmental disabilities who choose to live in their own homes.
