The Day Support Program assists adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to be more independent, learn new things, visit new places and make new friends. Provide individualized training in daily living skills, socialization, pre-vocational skills, and communication.

DeafBlind Services at DBVI support people of all ages who have both vision and hearing loss. These services help with communication, education, technology, daily living, and independence. DBVI staff complete special assessments to find out what tools or equipment may help, such as doorbell alerts, phone signalers, hearing aids, or personal listening devices. The program also connects individuals with helpful resources in their area. A DeafBlind Program Director and DeafBlind Specialist work across Virginia to provide support, training, and advice to DBVI staff and community partners. They also help make sure DeafBlind individuals can fully take part in DBVI programs and live as independently as possible.

Partners with the Virginia Department for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide access to the Technology Assistance Program. This program provides low-cost telephone and signaling equipment to Virginia residents who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Connections ABA & Family Support Services Provides home-based and clinic-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children and adolescents under the age of 21 who demonstrate significant impairment in adaptive functioning that is related to either developmental delays or other health conditions.

Provides wheelchair van services for physically challenged clients who require transportation to medical appointments, dialysis treatments, and other outpatient medical care. Also provides ambulatory services for bedridden patients to and from hospitals, nursing care facilities, doctor's offices, dialysis, radiation, physical therapy treatments and other outpatient services

Serve residents needs through multiple levels of care, including short and long term skilled nursing care, as well as, respite care. Offers physical, occupational, speech, respiratory, and nutritional therapies combined with twenty-four hour nursing care. Local chapters support services such as help lines, educational programs, respite care programs and referrals to useful services available in the community. They also sponsor support groups which offer persons with Alzheimer's disease, family members and caregivers the chance to share their experiences while learning how to cope with Alzheimer's disease.

Provides a mutual support group for professionals or those who have family members who have autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), Asperger's Syndrome, or any related disorder. Various lectures, workshops, lending library of books, articles, audio and videotapes, information packets, resource information, social outings, and a newsletter are among the services provided.

JCIL provides equipment on a loan basis to individuals with disabilities assists these in obtaining their own equipment, and on a limited basis will assist with purchasing needed technology. JCIL will assist in the development of loan applications, assembling appraisals, medical records, and other documentation required to support the application. Junction Center for Independent Living in conjunction with the Starkey Foundation and Hear Now ( WHEN AVAILABLE) assists persons with disabilities to obtain hearing aids and other devices to alleviate or eliminate barriers caused by limited hearing ability.

Carilion Clinic's Center for Healthy Aging (CCHA) offers a comprehensive and integrated approach to the complex care needs of older people. The center brings together specialized teams with geriatric expertise in assessment, medicine, psychiatry, counseling, nursing and nutrition. The CCHA is here to serve as a consultative resource to physicians, families and individuals. Our goal is to help maximize the independence and functional ability of people as they age.

The Mobility Coordination Program promotes and assists auto-less homes and lower income individuals, older adults and adults with disabilities with unmet non-emergency transportation needs.
