Provides public transit for Marion, Wytheville, and the Counties of Smyth and Wythe. This service includes shopping routes, transportation to congregate nutrition sites operated by District Three Senior Services, and town transit in Marion and Wytheville.
Exchanges information, provides support, and shares struggles and triumphs that occur with children with type 1 diabetes. A light supper will be provided. Entire families are welcome and encouraged to attend. Childcare is available.

VPAS' Emergency Services program provides one-time immediate financial assistance and other resources, including referrals to other public and private agencies to older adults who have an emergency need. Emergency Services may include payment assistance for medication refills, assistive devices, and utility and rent payments. Assistance is provided one-time, per year, per older adult age 60+, who must have an emergency need for help which endangers their health and/or well-being.

Matches a person who is being offered a clinical trial for cancer with someone who has participated in a clinical trial. This provides the caller with the opportunity to ask and get answers to many of the questions only someone who's gone through the decision-making process can answer. Being matched with a Talking About Clinical Trials(TACT) volunteer can help the caller separate fact from fiction, myth and misinformation. Matches can be requested online through the website.
Provides client transportation to and from day support programs including senior center or day support programs. Medicaid transportation to doctor appointments.
Bus service within the City of Alexandria, and connects with Metrobus, Metrorail, Virginia Railway Express, and all local bus systems. DASH serves all of the Alexandria Metrorail Stations and the Pentagon Metrorail station during morning and evening peak periods.
Provides residential services for adults and children with special needs and disabilities including intellectual disabilities, autism, pervasive developmental disorders, mental illness and emotional disturbances. Services include training in daily living, community, domestic, leisure, behavioral, and social skills with access to therapeutic supports including individual and family therapy, speech/language therapy and occupational therapy. Adult and Youth Group Homes are located throughout Frederick and Clarke counties as well as in Winchester and Richmond Virginia Does not accept individuals who are active fire-setters, actively suicidal, active substance abusers, homicidal, or sex offenders. Students and adult consumers are identified as having more than one diagnosis; for example, autism with severe mental retardation; anxiety disorder and mental retardation; and bi-polar disorder and learning disabilities. Grafton also serves people with physically handicapping conditions such as cerebral palsy.

Early Intervention for Children With Disabilities/Delays
Services include acute, sub-acute and intermediate rehabilitation programs for the orthopedic, cardiovascular and neurological patient. Provides intermediate care in a traditional nursing facility setting, respite care, Alzheimer's care, and hospice care. Offer our patients individualized pharmacy services, vitalstim therapy, in-house rehabilitation, and skilled nursing.
Monthly meetings are held with informative talks about diabetes. Certified Diabetes Educators, Clinical Dietitians, Pharmacies and other staff members at Augusta Health are also available to speak with individuals who have been diagnosed with diabetes and their families. The group is free and open to the public. No registration is required.

Provide diagnostic evaluations as well as a variety of evidence-based services that support families and their children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related challenges. Increase Helpful Behaviors with ABA Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a proven approach that focuses on increasing behaviors that are helpful and decreasing behaviors that are harmful or interfere with learning. VIA's Outpatient Behavioral Services team delivers ABA services in two ways: Build Skills for Daycare, Preschool, or Kindergarten with Early Intervention (ages 2 to 6) Help Children Succeed in Their Local Schools with Intensive School-Based Intervention (ages 5 to 22) Outpatient psychological services include psychological assessments for a variety of developmental and emotional concerns, parent support and coaching, social skills and emotional regulation groups, and therapy for children and adolescents diagnosed with ASD, other neurodevelopmental disorders, and related mood disorders. Speech therapy offers evaluation and treatment of varied communication disorders aimed at increasing clients' communication and independence while focusing on individual strengths and interests. Services are provided at the outpatient clinic and often include family training and consultation.
Area Served: Counties of Brunswick, Halifax, Mecklenburg, Cities of South Boston, South Hill. The Infant Development Program provides intervention services for families, infants, and toddlers birth to age three who have diagnosed or suspected delays in development.

A long term care nursing facility offering comprehensive, progressive inpatient rehabilitation service for patients who have had joint replacement or other surgery, experienced a stroke, or been injured in an accident. Works with patient, physician and family to develop a complete, individualized recovery plan.
Areas Served: Augusta County, Highland County. The Infant & Toddler Connection of Augusta-Highland provides free screenings and developmental evaluations to children, ages birth to three, who show early signs of a delay in development or who have a diagnosed disability.

Mobility management is collaboration between Encompass Community Supports and the Foothills Area Mobility System (FAMS) to assist individuals in finding suitable transportation. Our Mobility Specialists staff the One-Call center located at the Culpeper Senior Center where individuals can get more information on transportation types, find out where trolleys and busses drop off and pick up, get assistance scheduling trips and our specialists will even ride with them to help riders become more comfortable with public transportation. There is no fee for the service. The telephone number is 540-829-5300. The volunteer transportation program is also available to individuals 60 or older or people with a disability. Volunteers transport them to healthcare or legal appointments. Donations are accepted and encouraged. ACCESSIBILITY: Fully accessible to persons with disabilities.

RATS provides on demand, door-to-door transportation that is safe, reliable, and affordable. Anyone living in the Rockbridge area can ride for any reason. Simply call 48 hours in advance of your need. A sliding fare scale based on income is used. We specialize in transport for the elderly, isolated, low-income, and people with disabilities for the purpose of healthcare, employment, critical errands, shopping, community involvement, and social activities. Rides are also available to regional medical centers in Roanoke, Charlottesville, Fishersville and elsewhere. Medicaid riders call 1-866-386-8331 and make Medicaid healthcare trip reservations at least 5 days in advance. All licenses, operating authorities, and insurances are in place and all drivers are trained and certified to transport Medicaid clients.
Provides a specialized secure unit for Alzheimer's and dementia care. Also offers an Independent and Assisted Living Community offering housing for senior citizens age 62+. Services include spacious apartments, housekeeping, three meals per day, emergency monitoring system, activities and scheduled transportation. Provides assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming and medication administration.
Promotes awareness of sleep apnea, works for continuing improvements in treatments for this serious disease, and advocates for the interests of sleep apnea patients.
