Provides multidisciplinary evaluations for children who are suspected of having a development delay or who have a diagnosed handicapping condition; development of an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) to meet outcomes desired by the family; physical, occupational and speech therapy; special instruction for infants and toddlers who are eligible under IDEA Part C. Services are also available at numerous locations across our catchment area to those experiencing mental health challenges and who may also have issues with substance use. Mental Health Services are strength-based, recovery-oriented services designed to evaluate and treat the mental health challenges that individuals may experience during their lifetime.

Area Served: Chesapeake. Provides early intervention services for families who have infants and toddlers (birth to age three) who have developmental delays, atypical development, or a diagnosed disabling condition in accordance with Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act IDEA).

Early intervention supports and services focus on increasing the child's participation in family and community activities that are important to the family. In addition, supports and services focus on helping parents and other caregivers know how to find ways to help the child learn during everyday activities. These supports and services are available for all eligible children and their families regardless of the family's ability to pay.

SOAR365 offer two types of programming: 1) early intervention (children ages birth to 36 months) in the child's natural environment such as home, childcare or community settings, and 2) outpatient therapy (children ages birth through school age) in the clinic space at 3600 Saunders Avenue. The team includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and developmental services/educators.
