Comprehensive seating and mobility assessments and intervention. Includes a physical therapist, an occupational therapist, and a rehabilitation engineer. Offers team evaluations and prescription recommendations for appropriate seating and mobility systems, as well as fabrication and fitting of seating systems.

This program provides intermediate and skilled nursing home care to eligible veterans. This is a hospital based nursing home program designed for patients who have complicated medical needs. Certain veterans may qualify for long-term care based on their service connection. The Comprehensive Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (CNRC) provides a continuum of short stay and long stay inpatient services twenty-four hours a day.

Provides community-based case management to child, adolescent, and adult brain injury survivors and their families who reside in the service area. Identifies, plans, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates services and resources to meet an individual's needs. A collaborative process is used to identify survivor centered goals, and marshal (coordinate) resources to meet those goals. Includes advocating for and creating community resources needed to assist survivors in maximizing recovery, optimizing employment or service potential, and reintegrating into their families and communities. Areas which are frequently the focus of case management services include: * Behavior / Self Direction; * Cognitive Skills and Communication; * Education; * Health and Medical Services; * Mobility and Transportation; * Recreation and Socialization; * Self Care and Independent Living; * Vocation and Employment.

Sheltering Arms offers a broad array of outpatient physician and therapy services. A physician referral is required for most outpatient clinical services and most services are covered by insurance.

The Virginia Rehabilitation Center for the Blind and Vision Impaired (VRCBVI) helps people who are blind or vision impaired learn skills to live and work independently in a residential training facility. We believe that blindness should not stop anyone from having a job or living a full life. Our training programs focus on building confidence, independence, and self-sufficiency. Students learn important daily living and mobility skills in a supportive environment that encourages teamwork and open communication. Training is customized to meet each person's goals, and we also offer group programs like the LIFE program for teens and young adults and the Senior Retreat for people age 55 and older.

Cancer patients referred to STAR Program are working with specially trained occupational, physcial and speech therapists, nurses, exercise specialists, and dieticians to address unique health and quality of life issues of people who are undergoing treatment or living with unresolved problems from cancer treatment. Problems incude: pain, weakness, fatigue, balance problems, weight loss, lack of appetite, speech or swallowing issues and lymphedema.

Provides residents with exceptional care in a home atmosphere. Offers programs to ensure that each resident achieves and maintains his/her maximum functioning level in every area. Provides a complete range of expert nursing care and rehabilitative services.

Offers long-term and short term skilled nursing care, and Alzheimer's care. Provides Occupational, Speech and Physical therapy daily. Medicare, Medicaid, and many insurances are accepted.

In partnership with people with disabilities and their families, the Division of Rehabilitative Services collaborates with the public and private sectors to provide and advocate for the highest quality services that empower individuals with disabilities to maximize their employment, independence and full inclusion into society. Provides nursing home and rehabilitative care for individuals aged 50 and over.

Provides training and education to increase independence and safety for individuals with visual deficits as a result of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma or cataracts by training on the use of low vision assistive devices, home modifications and adaptive techniques.

Provides comprehensive nursing care ranging from a short rehabilitative stay to extended long-term care. The Recovery & Care Center is licensed to participate in both the Medicare and Medicaid programs, and is a contracted provider for most major insurances and managed care plans. The Rehab Center at Richfield provides short-term, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to patients who are still recovering from surgery, injury or illness and serves as a bridge between a hospital stay and the patient's return home. The Rehab Center offers all private rooms certified for Medicare Part A and private insurance only. The Rehab Center and the Recovery & Care Center has assembled a team of caring, knowledgeable healthcare professionals. Services are coordinated and directed by a leadership team that includes the Administrator, Assistant Administrator and Director of Nursing. Services are delivered by an interdisciplinary care team composed of nursing staff, physicians, social workers, life enrichment staff, a registered dietitian, physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists.

Offers inpatient, outpatient and sub-acute physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Outpatient services are located in the Outpatient Center at 120 North Commerce Avenue.
