Independent Living Skills Instruction
Offers comprehensive rehabilitative care to adults with musculoskeletal impairment due to traumatic injury, overuse and disease. Aids in recovery from an array of disabilities and neuromusculoskeltal disorders. Offers multidisciplinary treatment, including occupational and physical therapy, speech therapy, vocational counseling, psychological and social intervention, rehabilitation nursing, acupuncture, pain management and recreation. Evaluation and care may consist of electrodiagnostic studies, neuroconduction studies, evoked potentials, orthotic & prosthetic prescriptions, gait evaluation and functional assessment of physical disabilities. Head Injury Program provides primary and rehabilitative inpatient and outpatient care for patients with traumatic brain injuries. The Spinal Cord Program provides comprehensive medical and rehabilitation care for paraplegic and quadriplegic inpatients and outpatients with regular follow-ups. The Stroke Program gives primary and rehabilitation care to inpatients who then graduate to the outpatient clinic. The Sports Medicine and Musculoskeletal Program provides outpatient rehabilitation care.
Provides short-term specialized treatment, rehabilitation, and other forms of assistance to help people with acquired brain injury move forward in their rehabilitation and live more independently in home and community settings of their choice. May provide limited transportation to clients when no other options are available. If there are any questions relative to transportation, please call.

Those patients without a primary care physician will be referred to a physician of their choice or a Stone Mountain Health Services Provider.

Hospital Based Outpatient Services
Provides community-based case management for individuals affected by brain injury. Case management includes identifying needs and developing a plan of action to meet those needs. Help individuals and their caregivers find their way through the rehabilitation process which can last for years following an injury. After determining what an individual needs and would like to accomplish, we identify and coordinate services to help them reach their goals. Monitor progress toward those goals and build partnerships and teams to create a lasting network for continued support. Primary function is to help individuals affected by brain injury return to their lives - to their homes, careers, school and communities - to the greatest extent possible.

Provides comprehensive nursing care ranging from a short rehabilitative stay to extended long-term care. The Recovery & Care Center is licensed to participate in both the Medicare and Medicaid programs, and is a contracted provider for most major insurances and managed care plans. The Rehab Center at Richfield provides short-term, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to patients who are still recovering from surgery, injury or illness and serves as a bridge between a hospital stay and the patient's return home. The Rehab Center offers all private rooms certified for Medicare Part A and private insurance only. The Rehab Center and the Recovery & Care Center has assembled a team of caring, knowledgeable healthcare professionals. Services are coordinated and directed by a leadership team that includes the Administrator, Assistant Administrator and Director of Nursing. Services are delivered by an interdisciplinary care team composed of nursing staff, physicians, social workers, life enrichment staff, a registered dietitian, physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists.

Provides a place dedicated to serving children with special needs. Children between the ages of birth through 21 come to the CDRC from all over the state, throughout the nation and internationally. Many families come to find out why their child is having difficulties walking, talking, learning, eating or experiencing behavior problems.
Provides a full service Audiology and Speech-Language program. Specialty areas include head injury, stroke, cerebral palsy, and language learning disability. Specialized programs within the department are the interdisciplinary Augmentative/Alternative Communication Program and the Assistive Listening Device Program. Provides access to latest technology in assistive listening devices. Program goal is to provide support services to all deaf and hard of hearing individuals, and to encourage students to achieve their highest level of functioning.
