Provides a skilled nursing home just minutes from Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital. In addition to providing long-term care also provide short-term care for those recuperating after an illness, injury or surgery. Services include physical, speech and occupational therapy and wound care.

Nursing Home. Services available include Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapies. The Activities Department also offers a wide variety of programs to enhance life and promote socialization.

This program provides intermediate and skilled nursing home care to eligible veterans. This is a hospital based nursing home program designed for patients who have complicated medical needs. Certain veterans may qualify for long-term care based on their service connection. The Comprehensive Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (CNRC) provides a continuum of short stay and long stay inpatient services twenty-four hours a day.

Provides residents with exceptional care in a home atmosphere. Offers programs to ensure that each resident achieves and maintains his/her maximum functioning level in every area. Provides a complete range of expert nursing care and rehabilitative services.

Offers in-patient rehab after a hospital stay, long term nursing care, a SECURED memory care unit and a respite care program for family care givers. In house rehabilitation services offered include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. We have a staff psychologist and a visiting psychiatrist to address mental health needs of our residents. OSW offers in patient visits with a wound care physician as well as a staff wound nurse. Our full range of rehabilitative services assist residents with physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and/or communication impairments. Respiratory, physical, occupational, and speech therapy programs use the coordinated efforts of an interdisciplinary team to contribute to each resident's rehabilitation helping to ensure a successful return to home or work.

Case management and care coordination services with independent, private specialists and practitioners regardless of a family's income. Provides a "pool of funds" for uninsured and underinsured children with special health care needs. The CHKD Care Connection for Children pulls together case managers, medical personnel, educators and family members to determine how children with special health care needs - those with chronic physical disorders that are expected to last for at least 12 months - can reach their maximum potential.

Provides a full service Audiology and Speech-Language program. Specialty areas include head injury, stroke, cerebral palsy, and language learning disability. Specialized programs within the department are the interdisciplinary Augmentative/Alternative Communication Program and the Assistive Listening Device Program. Provides access to latest technology in assistive listening devices. Program goal is to provide support services to all deaf and hard of hearing individuals, and to encourage students to achieve their highest level of functioning. DBVI provides services and resources which empower individuals who are blind, vision impaired or deafblind to achieve their desired levels of employment, education, and personal independence. Services are provided through 4 main programs: Vocational Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation Teaching and Independent Living, Low Vision Services and Education Services. Most services are provided in the person's home, school, or workplace. Referrals are accepted from individuals, families, schools, doctors, and other community partners.

The Children's Rehabilitation Unit provides the regions only inpatient facility for the diagnosis and treatment of children with severe disabilities.
