Partners with the Virginia Department for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide access to the Technology Assistance Program. This program provides low-cost telephone and signaling equipment to Virginia residents who are deaf or hard of hearing.

A medication assistance program to obtain prescription medications at no or low cost to eligible patients, directly from the manufacturer, based upon manufacturer eligibility guidelines. Due to the time frame required to process applications (by the manufacturers), this program is most suitable for medications taken chronically and not for medication needed immediately, such as antibiotics. No controlled substances (schedules II, III and IV) are requested by health department programs even though such pharmaceutical programs may exist.

The Fralin Free Clinic is a safety net healthcare provider that provide comprehensive care as a transitional medical home. Clinic Services include: Checkups and Physicals Behavioral Health Services Medication Assistance Dental Care Vision Care Education (Classes include Diabetic Education, Smoking Cessation, Post-acute Withdrawal, The Addicted Brain, Oral Health, and Healthy Living) Medicaid Enrollment

Provides access to low-cost or difficult to obtain prescription drugs or supportive services that help patients take their medication as prescribed by their physician.

Serves children and adolescents aged three through seventeen who are experiencing disruption in their lives due to emotional disturbance. Services include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, case management, and case consultation.

Oxygen, respiratory and home infusion products and services provided by Lincare include the following: oxygen therapy, respiratory services, infusion therapy, Constant Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) equipment and supplies, ventilators, noninvasive ventilator support, enteral/nutrition therapy, pediatric respiratory services, and patient education and rehabilitation.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist can provide training to persons who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing and their families and training to businesses, nonprofits, and professionals that serve persons who have a hearing loss. Responds to request for information and referrals on niche topics related to hearing loss including, but not limited to, where to find sign language classes, support services, assistive technology, and more. Specialist promote public awareness about services via exhibits at local-regional events. Specialist assist clients with their telecommunication needs including applications, assessments, installation, training and troubleshooting specialized telecommunication equipment.

Provides a variety of home health care equipment and supplies, including oxygen therapy and respiratory care. Reimbursement specialists will help you explore all possible methods of payment and file claims on your behalf with contracted HMO's, insurance companies, Workers Compensation, Medicare and Medicaid.

VPAS' Emergency Services program provides one-time immediate financial assistance and other resources, including referrals to other public and private agencies to older adults who have an emergency need. Emergency Services may include payment assistance for medication refills, assistive devices, and utility and rent payments. Assistance is provided one-time, per year, per older adult age 60+, who must have an emergency need for help which endangers their health and/or well-being.

Assists the uninsured and underinsured by providing prescription drug discount cards to families and individuals who have no prescription insurance or whose insurance does not cover certain medications. The discount card may be printed directly from the website. The website also offers a search for pharmacies that participate in the program and a drug price look up tool.

Provides hearing testing, hearing aid selection and fitting, and implantable hearing devices for people of all ages.

Providing education & resources to the Dialysis Patient Community. A nationwide, non-profit, patient-led dialysis organization with membership open only to dialysis and pre-dialysis patients and their families.

Provides persons with disabilities durable medical equipment at no cost. Very often there is no insurance or insurance will not pay for bedside commodes, bath seats or certain types of wheelchairs, walkers, ramps, etc. Accepts donated used medical equipment which is cleaned and repaired for use. Medical equipment can be donated or exchanged to those in need in the community.

The AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) provides medicine used to treat HIV/AIDS to individuals who have limited or no health insurance coverage and low incomes.

Volunteers in Health Care developed this service to help health care providers identify programs offering free pharmaceuticals for their eligible, low-income patients.
