Stony Point offers a wide array of outpatient care for all ages.
Provides intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment for individuals age 18 and over who are suffering from problems resulting from drug/alcohol use (drugs can be street, prescription or over-the-counter). Patients receive education, therapy and counseling. One year of follow-up care is offered. Individual therapy is also available either before or after placement in a structured outpatient program. Information is confidential and no information is released without written permission. We provide an array of services that are tailored to the needs of each individual and work closely with other behavioral health services to assure care is effective. Services offered range from individual therapy to group therapy to intensive group therapy, and even aftercare services. We are also able to provide medication assisted treatment services through coordination with Suboxone (bupenorphine) prescribing physicians. Adolescents, adults and families all benefit from the outpatient services provided by our licensed staff. Care starts with a confidential assessment to determine needs and to develop a mutual care plan. Our patients and staff all share the goal of guiding you towards Living in Freedom Everyday.

A mobile medical clinic providing free primary health care to people in need, especially those who are uninsured, under-insured and those who have low income. Partnership clinic sites are located at other service organizations such as food pantries, homeless shelters, churches and outreach locations. Schedule can be found on website at www.crossroadsmedicalmission.org. Other partnership sites located in Abingdon, Bristol, St. Paul, Blountville (TN) and Mountain City (TN).
Resource Centers are health clinics with a variety of services available in public housing communities, Broad Rock Community Center, and Southwood Apartments. All services are offered to anyone and cost is based on a financial eligibility sliding scale. The Resource Centers also refer and connect patients to primary care providers and other community services, empowering residents to get connected to the care they need.
Supervises licensing and bonding of septic tank contractors. Establishes fees and lot size requirements. Performs percolation tests, soil evaluation and small sewage plant inspections. Reviews site plans and inspects systems under construction. Issues permits for well construction. Collects water samples for chemical and bacteriological test; licenses and bond well drillers; inspects water supply systems and investigates complaints.

The Health Department's Division of Environmental Health protects and improves public health by preventing, minimizing or eliminating exposure to biological, chemical or physical hazards through a variety of regulatory activities, including permitting and inspecting businesses and public facilities. Environmental Health Specialists also investigate reports of public health and safety menaces anywhere in the community including residential, commercial and industrial areas. In addition, the Health Department conducts mosquito and tick surveillance and a broad range of educational activities.

Food Establishment Regulations: permits many of the facilities that prepare food for public consumption. Sewage Regulation: Conducts soil studies and site evaluations on property to determine suitability for a onsite wastewater disposal. Migrant Labor Camps: Inspects migrant labor camps. Water: Permits all private drinking water wells. Rabies Prevention: Rabies testing of certain animals involved in human or other animal exposures; evaluation of human exposures and in consultation with physician, recommendations for management and post exposure treatment are made to treating provider. Outbreak Investigations: When food or water borne, identification and testing of the potential sources in food and water are conducted.

The Mary Washington Hospital Outpatient Lab perform outpatient diagnostic testing for infants, children and adults. Services are primarily on a walk-in basis.
Offers psychiatric care for adults, specialized treatment for alcoholism and drug abuse, and a pain management program. Provides chemical dependency consultation and intervention services such as pre-surgical detoxification; post-surgical medication management; consultation and evaluation; referral services. Also provides an alternative treatment called Turning Point, an intensive outpatient program. Each individual is assessed to determine the appropriate level of care.
