Child Care Aware of Virginia offers access to professional training opportunities through regional resource centers, partner affiliates and online at LearnVA.com. Also offers free consultation services to child care providers via telephone, online, on-site, or via printed resources. This includes guidance on topics such as opening a business, child care regulations, child development, quality enhancement, safety planning, family engagement, nutrition, accreditation, and more.

Community Education and Provider Services provides information, assistance and support to individuals interested in becoming Fairfax County-permitted Family Child Care providers. CEPS offers ongoing training and support to Family Child Care providers currently permitted to operate a home-based childcare program in Fairfax County.

The Child Care Office licenses day care facilities; monitors their compliance with local child care ordinances, state standards, and regulations ( Arlington Child Care Center Regulation & Family Day Home Regulation); and provides education and training for providers of child care.
