Outreach - Blacksburg, SOuP, Virginia Tech

The Virginia Tech Biological Sciences Outreach Program, "SOuP", supports K-12 outreach education and encourages the growth of K-12 participation in research. SOuP works as part of the VT-STEM (VT-Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Outreach Initiative to form partnerships that support the University outreach mission. Researchers in the biosciences and geosciences can utilize the education outreach programs of SOuP to enhance their grant proposals.

Research/Study - Lexington, Campus Community Partnerships for Research, Washington and Lee University

Provides Campus Community Partnerships for Research, free research and analytical study to non-profit community agencies. Projects are advised by trained researchers (faculty) and carried out by students. Students and faculty will work with the proposing agency, organization, or individual to address a community-identified need.

Environmental Education - Warrenton, John Marshall Soil & Water Conservation District

Develops and presents environmental education programs/materials to our county schools and residents. Provides educational programs for grades K-12 regarding non-point and point source pollution, soils, water quality, etc. We also have informational brochures, have a quarterly newsletter, and provide information on our web page. We also have a FaceBook Page.
