Provides adults in the SAW area confidential one-to-one, small group, and/or online tutoring for adults in basic reading and writing. Serves both native and non-native speakers of English. All of the volunteer tutors are trained by the organization. Schedules are flexible.

ECC provides five levels of English as a Second Languages classes. The classes enable participants to develop the language and literacy skills they need to interact, engage and succeed as workers and members of the community.
Provides instructional services to Charlottesville, Albemarle County and other Central Virginia residents whose academic skills are below the 12th grade level. Services help adults improve their basic skills, prepare for the GED exam, learn English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and learn together with their children. General Adult Education (GAE) provides instructional services to Charlottesville, Albemarle County and other Central Virginia residents who are working toward a high school diploma. Evening high school classes are offered to these students. ACCESSIBILITY: Fully accessible to persons with disabilities.

Offers tutoring in basic literacy skills and English language for adults over the age of 18. Instruction is provided by trained volunteer tutors who meet with the adult students weekly at mutually convenient places and times.
Adult Education offers a variety of programs that provide educational opportunities in adult basic education, adult high school completion, English Language Learning (ELL), GED preparation, and GED testing.

Weekly classes provide opportunities for adults learners to understand, speak, read and write English proficiently. Our adult learners will also have the chance to participate in financial literacy, health literacy, GED and citizenship courses. Maximum class size: 10 participants. Free child care.
Loudoun Literacy Council offers an early literacy enrichment program in partnership with Loudoun County Head Start and STEP programs. Assists children in developing necessary skills to be successful learners and adults to be effective parents. Also, offers literacy enrichment program to families in homeless shelters and to at-risk new parents. Provide Baby Book Bundles to low-income, expectant mothers. Also distributes gently used books to families in Loudoun County who have limited access to books in the home.
Helps adults with limited educational opportunities to reach their individual goals and potential as workers, citizens and family members by providing quality adult education services throughout the region. Provides Adult Basic Education (ABE), English as a Second Language (ESL), GED preparation, Family and Workplace Literacy and Job Readiness classes. Serves the counties of Clarke, Frederick, Shenandoah, Warren and the City of Winchester.

Provides outdoor experiences and academic programs, at no cost, for inner city and at-risk youths, including a multi-week summer camp. Extends programs throughout the school year with The Reading Adventure Program(RAP). Aspire Connect 2016 students participate in an after school program where reading enrichment is the core focus. The Environmental Education Center offers programs to community groups. Facilities available in non-summer months for rental for corporate conferences, retreats, group adventures, and special event rentals.
