Healthy Families provides voluntary, comprehensive home-visiting services that support at-risk expectant and new parents and help prevent poor childhood outcomes. The Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI) Program serves children who are four years old by September 30th of the school year. The REACH Program provides special education services for children ages two through four with developmental delays or disabilities. To qualify, preschoolers must have a developmental delay of 25% or more in an area of child development. To refer a child to REACH, call 540-853-1900. Our preschool programs are offered free of charge to eligible children. Classrooms are staffed by certified teachers and by instructional assistants. Bus transportation is provided.
