The Office of Early Childhood Programs provides leadership and coordination of the Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI) programs in school-based classrooms and in community-based child development programs. The office staff provides professional learning opportunities to build the capacity of early childhood teachers, instructional assistants, and administrators to meet the developmental needs of children across all domains and provides community outreach and support for young learners and their families. The Office of Early Childhood Programs also serves as the liaison for Early Head Start and Head Start programs.
Provide experiences that will help children mature spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically and socially in a Christian atmosphere. Children will be led to a sense of independence, initiative and competence.
Preschool program runs concurrent with the Augusta County school calendar and is a full day program, 5 days a week except for one Friday of each month. This Friday is used for screenings, teacher trainings and home visits. Assessments for math and literacy are completed three times throughout the year to track students' progress and ensure preparedness for kindergarten. Family Service Workers work with every family to provide support outside of the classroom and to foster a positive relationship with schools.
CFNC provides multilingual preschool and intensive social services year-round to at-risk children and families in their own neighborhoods free of charge. Smart Beginnings Rappahannock Area certified child care provider. More information can be found at www.cfnc-online.org
Licensed by the state of Tennessee. YWCA Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virgina is partnered with Ballad Health Systems to operate the Child Development Center on the campus of the Bristol Regional Medical Center. It was designed to serve the children of Ballad healthcare workers, however, additional openings are often available to parents in need of extended-hour child care within our community.

Preschool program has a full day classroom.
This initiative serves at-risk four year olds who are not being served by Head Start. Students must be four years old by September 30 in order to be eligible for the program. Preschool programs are located in nine elementary schools in Montgomery County: Auburn Elementary Belview Elementary Christiansburg Primary Eastern Montgomery Elementary (two classrooms) Falling Branch Elementary Gilbert Linkous Elementary Kipps Elementary Margaret Beeks Elementary Price's Fork Elementary Each preschool classroom serves no more than 18 four year olds with one teacher and one highly qualified aide providing a staff/child ratio of 9:1. Classes meet on all school days and students ride the school bus with other elementary students. Students must attend the preschool in the elementary school where they will attend kindergarten. The Virginia Preschool Initiative emphasizes collaboration among the home, school and community to provide a quality program which fosters the development of the whole child. A safe, nurturing environment is provided at each location which promotes active exploration, curiosity, and an excitement for learning.
Provides a preschool program for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Follows the standards of the nationally recognized Creative Curriculum. Children from all backgrounds and income levels are welcome. Partial preschool tuition scholarships are available. The James L. and Juliette McNeil Preschool Academy is a NAEYC accredited program.
The Pozez JCC of Northern Virginia provides health and wellness and varied programming based on Jewish values, for families and children. The Pozez JCC's J-Care program provides preschool and childcare for infants-4 years old.

Preschool curriculum promotes kindergarten readiness through language, literacy, mathematics, social studies, science, world languages, art, music, creative movement, dramatic play, and technology. Programing is enhanced by project-based learning, an outside discovery center, and Tucker Signing Strategies for reading.
A program for the development of preschoolers, ages 1-5 years in age. Provides an atmosphere of Christian love and warmth. It is a non-profit ministry of Peakland United Methodist Church and is offered as a service to the community. Ages/Times: Mornings from 8AM - 9AM for 1-5 yr. olds, 86 children in the morning 35 children 2-5 yr. old from NOON - 3 PM. 1 yr olds are 2 days/week. 2 and 3 yr olds 2 or 3 days/week. 4 yr. olds are kept 2,3, or 5 days/week. 5 yr. olds for 5 days/week.

The primary goal of the program is to provide early childhood education and intensive mental health treatment to children. In addition, SCAN works with caregivers to empower them to help reduce the long-term effects of traumatic abuse and neglect for children. SCAN work to integrate children into mainstream classroom settings so that they are able to be successful in school.

MCCS Quantico's CDCs are accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). All classrooms accommodate children according to their developmental age and any special needs. Two meals and one snack are provided daily.

Offers a multi-room preschool for children from ages 6 weeks to four years (Pre-K).
Preschool classes are offered for 2 year olds, 3 year olds, and 4 year olds. We provide Monday through Friday classes for all age groups. In addition, a Tuesday/Thursday class is offered for 2 year olds and a Monday/Wednesday/Friday class for 3 year olds. We offer two sessions of programming: the school year (September - June) and summer camp (June - August) After school care is offered for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade who attend Chittum Elementary, Western Branch Primary, and Western Branch Intermediate. Public school Kindergarten care is available before school (7:00-7:30 am) and after school (2:45-6:00 pm). Kindergarten care is not available during public school hours.
The Sprout School provides a full or part-day, high-quality early childhood education for toddlers and young children ages 2 months through 5 years old. Full day, preschool programming with services available for homeless children. Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), 3 Star Rated by Virginia's QRIS, and licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services.
Learn Through Play program for preschoolers. 2 year olds- 5 year olds.
Offers developmental childcare for low income working families who would otherwise not be able to afford care for their children while they work, train or pursue an education.
