The Legal Aid Justice Center partner with tenants and community organizations to fight for affordable housing, reasonable housing conditions, racial justice in housing, and equitable housing policies. Services include representing tenants facing eviction and in other landlord/tenant disputes, organizing with tenants experiencing unfair conditions, and advocating for better housing policies across the state. We have a particular focus on supporting tenants in public housing.

This program assists landlords and tenants in resolving disputes by providing information to both parties on their rights and responsibilities under local and state law, and by helping to settle disputes through mediation.

This program offers eligible tenants the opportunity to stay in their homes by providing financial assistance, guidance, and support. SCDHC work with both tenants and landlords to prevent eviction, ensuring you have the resources and information needed to maintain stable housing.

Investigates and assists in resolution of tenant/landlord problems. Offers mediation and arbitration services to Fairfax County residents.

Assists area clients who face legal dilemmas in housing, public benefits, employment, consumer protection, mental health and the rights of the elderly and individuals with disabilities. The Legal Aid Justice Center will offer full representation in traditional poverty law areas, including housing, consumer protection, employment, education, mental health, disability rights and public benefits to low-income residents of Planning District 10: Counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Nelson and City of Charlottesville.

Provides information on the rights and responsibilities of tenants and landlords under state and local laws for City of Falls Church residents. Offers mediation services to facilitate resolution of disputes. Investigates and enforces the housing code.

Provides inquiries into alleged violations of the City's Fair Housing Ordinance. Serves community with information, referral and training.
