The Legal Aid Justice Center partner with tenants and community organizations to fight for affordable housing, reasonable housing conditions, racial justice in housing, and equitable housing policies. Services include representing tenants facing eviction and in other landlord/tenant disputes, organizing with tenants experiencing unfair conditions, and advocating for better housing policies across the state. We have a particular focus on supporting tenants in public housing.

Equal Employment Protection - Washington, United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission

Receives and investigates charges of job discrimination. Enforces laws to prevent discrimination by employers, labor unions or employment agencies when applying for a job or while on the job because of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, or disability. Offers mediation as an alternative to the traditional investigative or litigation process. All laws enforced by EEOC, except the Equal Pay Act (EPA), require filing a charge with EEOC before a private lawsuit may be filed in court.

Crime Prosecution - King George, King George County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office

The Commonwealth Attorney's Office prosecutes felonies and misdemeanors that occur in King George County. The prosecution takes place in three courts: Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, General District Court and Circuit Court. The Commonwealth Attorney's Office also administers the Victim/Witness Assistance Program.

Guardianship Services (Public and Private) In the absence of appropriate family or friends, Family Service is appointed by the court as guardian/conservator responsible for the personal and financial affairs of the client.
