The Richmond Juvenile Detention Center (RJDC) is a secure facility which serves both males and females in the service area of the City of Richmond. The facility is designed to provide safe temporary custody of pre-dispositional residents who are accused of conduct subject to the jurisdiction of the court, pending adjudication and/or disposition of charges placed against them. The Richmond Juvenile Detention Center provides a wide range of helpful services that support the resident's physical, emotional, mental and social development. Additional services include, but are not limited to: education, recreation, counseling, nutrition, medical/health care services, reading, visitation, communication and continuous supervision of residents.
The jail can hold up to 214 inmates. Inmates have access to an exercise area, a library, a medical facility, classrooms and a laundry room. Has a public safety area that houses the Sheriff's Department and Botetourt County's magistrates, who also serve Craig County.
This program provides the opportunity for those incarcerated to participate in programs while in jail and to prepare for their release from jail back into the community.

Agency provides pre and post trial services to the City of Chesapeake Court system. This multi-service agency has become a comprehensive community-based correction agency to divert and supervise minimum-security arrestees and detainees from the Chesapeake City Jail. Agency provides Pretrial services and Community-Based Probation within Chesapeake.

Maximum security jail facility, staffed by a trained deputies. The City Jail houses men and women inmates sentenced to incarceration from any one of the three courts serving the City: Juvenile and Domestic Relations, General District, and Circuit Court. Contracts with the United States Marshals Service and the United States Bureau of Prisons to hold federal prisoners.
Deputies assigned to Jail Security and Jail Services maintain the safety and order of the facility. Deputies provide security to the community by preventing jail disturbances or escapes. Jail East is facility that features training and rehabilitation by offering a wide range of mental health and substance abuse services as well as educational and vocational training. Classes, programs and services are provided to assist the inmates to achieve their educational and vocational goals upon their release.
A female field unit. Security Level 1 - Assignment Criteria: No murder I or II; sex offense, kidnap/abduction, escape history. No disruptive behavior for at least past 24 months.
Assists newly released ex-offenders and their families in making a successful transition from prison to their community. Helps with emergency needs first and then to assist with the client becoming self-sufficient by obtaining employment. Provides food, clothing, transportation, and shelter, guidance for job interviews and leads, and referrals to other agencies that would further benefit the client's stability in the community. Holds ex-offender monthly groups, and trainings across the New River Valley. Other assistance includes transportation, identification document costs, housing, and GED and education, and food assistance. Provides vouchers for public transportation, pays for identification costs, provides housing referrals, GED class expenses, books and financial assistance for college classes and food, and other supports are ways to solve the immediate needs of our clients.
AFOI offers two forms of video visitation: enhanced video visitation using at-home technology and video visitation. Video visitation is a way for families to meet with their imprisoned family or friends without having to invest the time and money in traveling long distances to correctional facilities. An inmate has to be eligible according to the following standards, as set by VADOC. AFOI offers video visitation to many Virginia correctional facilities from 7 sites throughout the state, including Alexandria, Fredericksburg, Norfolk, Petersburg, Richmond, and Roanoke
Provide building blocks for stability, self-sufficiency, and community responsibility through providing training in and opportunities for individuals (primarily ex-felons) to learn and practice job and life skills, to develop emotional competencies, and to assume community responsibility. At the end of our twelve-month program each participant will be given support in finding a job or in opening his own business. Throughout the process, participants are challenged to develop a commitment to family, to community, and to community service. ***This agency is unable to help with utility bills or with free furniture.***

OPN-Door Communications LLC was created to meet the communication needs of families, private businesses and the public sector. Providing keynote speaking, training, facilitation, investigative, conflict and dispute resolution services. Services include: mediation; parent education workshop; rights restoration workshops.

Operates the Loudoun Adult Detention Center, which houses maximum, medium, and minimum security level inmates. Some inmates may find themselves housed at the facility for up to three years before being delivered to the State Department of Corrections.
Provides assistance with job search skills, Interview Skills, Job Retention, Soft Skills and Assistance with Resumes and Cover Letters. Helps people returning from incarceration find jobs and other necessities.
Accommodates pretrial inmates and people who are serving their sentences on weekends, and with inmate work crews. Oversees the Montgomery County Home Electronic Monitoring (HEM) program for inmates who have been ordered to serve their time while remaining in their home.

Provides assistance to ex-offenders and their families with employment, court issues, housing search. Provide volunteers for visits to jail and educational services. Reentry services provide pre and post release services with 6 weeks of classes in Thinking for a Change, employability, parenting, wellness and emotional literacy for men and women in the Reentry Programs at the Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail (ACRJ). also offer Transitional planning to individuals 30 to 45 days from release through collaboration with ACRJ, OAR and community agencies and organizations concerned with assisting inmates in a smooth transition home.
Is a 257-bed facility housing male and female inmates at the maximum, medium and minimum security levels.
Security Level 3 - Assignment Criteria: Single, multiple, and Life + sentences must have served 20 consecutive years on sentence. No disruptive behavior for at least past 24 months prior to consideration for a transfer to any less-secure facility.
Provides services to ex-offenders that include: assistance with obtaining identification; employable skills development; job search/job placement; substance abuse education and counseling/treatment referrals; emergency services (food, clothing, shelter).
A 60-bed facility that detains juveniles ordered through the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court systems serving the cities of Danville and Martinsville and the counties of Halifax, Henry, Mecklenburg, Patrick and Pittsylvania.
Serves a coed population, males age 14 -18 and females age 11-20, who have been committed by the juvenile court. Residents placed at the facility have been convicted of crimes ranging from misdemeanors to felonies. Lengths of commitment may range from a minimum of 3-6 months to a maximum of 7 years or until the resident's 21st birthday. Residents receive educational, vocational, mental health and rehabilitative counseling services. Specialized treatment programs include substance abuse, aggression management, sex offender, and intensive therapeutic programming. Academic and vocational training is provided on campus by the Department of Correctional Education. Residents are able to earn a high school diploma or GED. Recreation, religious and volunteer programming is also provided.
