Avalon provides accompaniment services for survivors who are involved with the court system. Legal Advocates, are not lawyers, but work in conjunction with law enforcement officials and judicial systems to help navigate the way to safety. The Legal Advocate works closely with Victim/Witness personnel to make sure that survivors are given all appropriate legal resources.

Hospital accompaniment services are provided to survivors seeking support while at a hospital emergency department for evidence collection or treatment relating to domestic and/or sexual violence. Advocates provide supportive counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy, and referral information for additional community resources in the hospital 24/7 in-person or via phone.

Provides emergency shelter and support services to victims of emotional, physical and sexual violence and their children. Shelter programs include crisis counseling, court advocacy, court accompaniment, hospital accompaniment and support groups for women.

Latinos in Virginia Empowerment Center provides victims of violence and their families with services that respond to their emotional, physical, and cultural needs in order to help them to become healthy and sufficient. The Domestic and Sexual Violence Hotline (24-hour) provides crisis intervention and assists callers with problem solving. Callers are provided with shelter information, options counseling, referrals for medical treatment, on-going counseling, and related services in their local area.

Domestic Violence Unit realizes that a successful approach to stop violence against women can only be accomplished through a coordinated response system that focuses on comprehensive ongoing training, community partnerships, shared case information and resources, and the development of policies and and procedures that work to ensure the safety of victims. The Unit is structured to serve as a central coordinating agency, working with other criminal justice and non-profit agencies to initiate aggressive investigation and prosecution of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking cases.

Emergency safe houses provide immediate shelter and protection to clients fleeing violent situations. These homes are at undisclosed locations across the region for the protection of clients. Clients typically reside in these homes for 30-140 days, depending on clients' individual needs.
