Electric - Provides assistance for electric and electric deposits may provide some or all, of the required amount to maintain service for 30 days. Client must pay the remaining balance before promised agency funds are released. Heating Oil and Natural Gas - Assistance for heating oil/natural gas payments or deposits may provide some or all, of the required amount to maintain service for 30 days. Client must pay the remaining balance before promised agency funds are released. Kerosene - The Chief Administrator/designee determines the number of vouchers given and if any are to be post dated considering the client need and circumstances. VPAS' Emergency Services program provides one-time immediate financial assistance and other resources, including referrals to other public and private agencies to older adults who have an emergency need. Emergency Services may include payment assistance for medication refills, assistive devices, and utility and rent payments. Assistance is provided one-time, per year, per older adult age 60+, who must have an emergency need for help which endangers their health and/or well-being.

Financial assistance is available one time per year per person and is restricted to low income area residents aged 60 and older in the City of Fredericksburg and the 4 surrounding counties. Assistance up to $100 once a year. This agency helps with the last $100. If bill is more that $100, will need client to bring proof of pledges from other organizations.
