Rideshare is a program of the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission, working to reduce traffic congestion and increase mobility throughout the City of Charlottesville and the Counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson. RideShare offers free car pool and School Pool matching, a van pool start-up service, and operates a Guaranteed Ride Home program, which provides free rides home in an emergency to users of alternative transportation. RideShare also works with employers to develop and implement traffic reduction programs, and markets the region's Park and Ride lots. RideShare is a member of the Commuter Information Team (CIT), a partnership that includes JAUNT, Charlottesville Transit Service (CTS), University Transit Service (UTS), and Greene County Transit. OmniRide provides bus service in Woodbridge and surrounding areas, including the Prince William Metro Express service that connects commuters to Metro rail stations. OmniRide Local buses serve areas within Prince William County, and OmniRide Express provides commuter routes to employment centers like the Pentagon, Mark Center, and Washington, D.C.

Fixed route services are available to the general public. Offers deviated fixed route bus transportation on a set route to anyone in Henry County and Martinsville City, Virginia. Customers must wait at the bus stop for pick up. Accessible transportation for people with functional disabilities is available upon request with a completed and approved Americans with Disabilities Act Paratransit Eligibility application prior to transport. Will deviate from the route up to .75 mile off of the fixed route. ADA requests must be booked at least 24 business hours in advance by calling Intake.

Services to provide for temporary emergency needs such as food, rent or utilities. Due to limited funding, eligible individuals may be referred to community resources to help meet their needs. In addition, citizens may inquire about available resources to assist with other needs such as clothing, eyeglasses, housewares, etc. A small amount of funding is available to provide a one time assistance with transportation such as a gas card, or a modest car repair.

Provides transportation for the Town of Orange and Orange County. The Town of Orange Transit (TOOT) provides transportation within the Town of Orange. TOOT2 provides transportation from Orange to Gordonsville. Also offers a Demand-Response, curb-to-curb service within Orange County. TOOT is radio dispatched to meet special needs.
