Region Ten's Adult Developmental Services Center offers a wide range of person-centered services designed to support individuals with developmental disabilities in living a safe, healthy, and productive life as independently as possible. Group Home - Pearisburg, Elmtree Group Home, New River Valley Community Services

Elmtree is a group home for individuals 18+ who have an intellectual disability and other secondary disabilities, such as emotional/behavioral problems or physical disabilities. Elmtree provides access to social and recreational activities and makes available religious and employment opportunities in the community or at home. The application process includes providing credit references, housing references, verification of income and disability. Renters must meet all VHDA requirements and sign a one-year lease. Elmtree has available staff on-site 24 hours a day.

Group Home-Intellectual Disabilities - Lebanon, Lebanon Group Home, Cumberland Mountain Community Services

A six bed residence for adult males and females who are transitioning into independent living. Residents must demonstrate the ability to perform daily activities of living independently and must also demonstrate safety at home and in the community. Residents play an active role in planning the activities for leisure which may include unsupervised activities in the community. Residents and families are active in service planning. Payment for residential services is made by the resident and is usually a percentage of the SSI or Social Security benefit.

Eight group homes work with individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities to promote independent living and meet functional behavior goals in home and community settings. Person centered plans are designed to address identified issues in skill-building areas. Residential Group Home - Charlottesville, Arc of the Piedmont

Offer continual support including overnight staff to respond to the health, medical and behavioral needs of individuals. Each program participant has a service plan developed to assist him or her to reach their goals. Person-centered services strive to offer the greatest opportunities for unrestricted participation and community inclusion. Skill-building and assistance may be provided in personal care, domestic skills, leisure time, daily life skills, behavior management community integration and social skills. Assistance is offered in administration of medications.

Provides community based services to people who have intellectual disability. Agency has 5 licensed group homes: Pickering Place, The Apartment, Corson House, Clifford and Liberty. Virginia Beach Community Living Centers provides supportive services and independent living to adult men and women with intellectual disabilities. In this residential program individuals partner with Volunteers of America Chesapeake staff members to develop person centered plans and participate in life-skills training and human growth and development activities geared towards developing each individual's highest potential. Many of the individuals in our program are employed or participate in programs throughout the community to help strengthen their sense of community involvement and independence. Community Support Program - Washington, Deaf-REACH

Community Support Program supports individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing who are experiencing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, psychotic disorders and other issues to ensure that their needs for living in the community are met. Services include counseling, coordination of medical and mental health treatment/appointments, budgeting and money management, housing placement to name a few. This program provides services to individuals approved by the D.C. Department of Behavioral Health and is available 5 days per week with on call services for emergencies and crisis situations.
