Assisted living care provides residents with support for various daily living activities. These services can range from reminders to take medication on time to help getting dressed or other personal tasks.

Offers independent retirement living. Services provided are: housekeeping; linen service; daily meals; laundry rooms; transportation, cable television, paid utilities; emergency pull cords in each apartment; daily activities and on-site managers.

Offers retirement living. Provides independent living accommodation, intermediate or intensive assisted living services. Provides income-based subsidized housing for the elderly, handicapped and disabled.

Provides independent living apartment units for senior adults. Offers one-and two-bedroom units. Includes a lunch program five days-a-week, a monthly activities program, and van service to the grocery store once a week as well as transportation for other services. Allows one pet with a 20 pound weight limit.

Offers adults with disabilities a wide variety of residential programs including group homes and apartments. Develops residents' independent living skills with goal of integration into the community. Staff is available 24 hours a day.

Assisted Living/Memory Care/Independent Living

A 55-bed assisted living facility for adults who require assistance with at least two activities of daily living. This facility is also licensed to provide care to residents who require only the residential level of care. Accepts dementia patients and early stage Alzheimer's patients. Also assisted living, must be ambulatory. Specializes in Veterans care.

Specializes in serving adults who need mental health care. The hospital offers acute psychiatric care. Both private and semi-private rooms are available. Catawba Hospital is affiliated with the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where staff psychiatrists may have faculty appointments and help train psychiatry residents and medical students. A clinical practicum is available for students of various disciplines including nursing, psychology, social work, music therapy, recreation therapy, and food and nutritional services.

Offering assisted living services to adults 62 and older.

Provides a residential facility for people with developmental disabilities. Services provided in the facility include organizational elements which include residential cottages, communication, community and social services, cosmetology, education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, primary nursing, psychology, recreation and leisure, vocational training and employment, and volunteer services.

A long term care and rehab facility serving residents from Altavista and surrounding counties. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Licensed by Virginia Dept. of Health.

Serves adult men with primary diagnosis of Intellectual Disability (diagnosis must be documented as originating prior to age 18). Services offered include: 1) Residential Care with awake/overnight staff in a home-like environment; 2) In-Home/Supported Living Care; and 3) Short-term Respite Care. Applicants must have source of funding, i.e. ID Medicaid Waiver, private pay funds. Provide comprehensive support services in a Christian community setting with the goal of helping each person experience the most independent and complete life possible utilizing person-centered planning. Administration and staff are constantly monitoring information from the health department and governor's office to help guide all decisions made regarding the safety and welfare of our the children, youth, and adults in our care.

Offers options for independent living, short-term rehabilitation, assisted living and long-term nursing care. Housing for low income seniors and persons with physical disabilities. Applicants must qualify under income provisions of Section 8 Rental Assistance program sponsored by the Federal government. The income levels depend on the size of your family. Services include free access to The Wellness Center at Richfield, a 24 hour emergency call system, transportation for shopping and twenty four hour campus security.

Provides a full service retirement community offering a continuum of care from retirement living, assisted living, specialized dementia care through nursing home care for seniors 62 years of age and older. Our Lady of Peace is a non-profit, non-denominational community sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Richmond.

Provides assisted living for the elderly in 78 apartment units featuring 24-hour nursing assistance for personal and medical needs. Offers programs and medical offices on premises, activities program, living and music room, beauty shop, library and main dining room. Also offers respite care and Alzheimer's care.

Assisted Living to help care for the elderly.

An adult supported living facility for 10 people with mental illness, helps residents achieve independence within the community. Clients are offered support for community living, psychosocial support and are taught daily living skills.

Continuing care retirement community providing independent living, assisted living including memory care, and a Medicare skilled health care center.

Provides assisted living facilities for adults age 20+ that offer help with dressing, bathing, meals, medication administration, activity planning, local medical transportation, housekeeping and laundry.

Host Home sponsored placements, providing an array of community-based residential support that includes group homes and sponsored family placements for persons with intellectual disability. Support and supervision are available to enable individuals to acquire, maintain, or improve their health, development, and physical condition. Currently we have vacancies in our Host Homes Program, a sponsored residential option with a contracted provider who offers individuals in need an option to live in their family home.
