The Lynchburg City Assessor's Office is required to maintain an alphabetical ownership tax roll each year for the period of July 1 through June 30. To maintain the role, the City Assessor must keep current property records showing the physical characteristics of each parcel and in accordance with Chapter 18-48 of the Lynchburg City Code, Title 58.1 of the Code of Virginia, and Article X of the Virginia Constitution.
