Housing-Rehab/Repair - Ruckersville, Skyline Community Action Partnership

Provides assistance with indoor plumbing for Greene, Orange and Madison County residents. Skyline CAP, Inc. provides application and case management services and some funding through HOME (Housing Opportunities Made Equal). Indoor Plumbing and Plumbing Rehabilitation clients are then referred to AHIP (Albemarle Housing Improvement Program) for Greene County or Rapidan Better Housing for Madison and Orange counties for repairs to owner-occupied dwellings that have no water or wastewater systems or have failed systems or systems that do not meet basic housing standards. Housing Loan - Harrisonburg, USDA Rural Development - HARRISONBURG SERVICE CENTER

Provides direct loans to borrowers who cannot obtain financing elsewhere. They must have good credit and meet reasonable underwriting criteria. Loans are for home ownership opportunities and assistance to low-income households to purchase, construct and repair a home. Loans can be up to 100% loan to value ratios. Qualified individuals may be eligible to receive payment assistance which may reduce their payment from the established note rate of interest.

Neighborhood Rehabilitation - Woodbridge, Prince William County Office of Housing and Community Development

The program is designed to offer financial assistance to owner-occupied residents of Prince William County and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park to correct health and safety issues as well as to increase energy efficiency within their properties. The purpose of the Neighborhood Housing Rehabilitation Program is to preserve and improve owner occupied properties and to bring properties up to applicable building codes and standards. Assistance provided should accomplish the following: correct exterior and interior deficiencies; make accessibility modifications; correct health and safety violations; improve weatherization and energy conservation; and correct lead-based paint violations. General improvements are also eligible under this program. General improvements include alterations, kitchen, bathroom, accessibility modifications, carpeting, fencing and landscaping.

Home Repair - Lexington, Rockbridge Area Habitat for Humanity

Habitat offers reduced cost repairs to low-income local homeowners to make their homes accessible, livable, energy-efficient, and safe. Home repairs include exterior painting and weatherization, roof repairs, improving handicapped accessibility, and more.Trailers may be eligible for repairs. Projects to make a home accessible, livable, energy efficient and safe are considered. Cost of repairs may not exceed Habitat's $1,500 cost of repairs limit plus any donated funds or materials.
